Re: DME SAGA...Questions...Need Help
At the outset back in 2008 I had a poor DME experience but not quite the same as what you have gone through. It is not difficult to set the CPAP pressure... the difficulty comes in determining what that pressure should be. The APAP can help narrow down what the pressure should be by adjusting the pr...

The Internet is the modern day equivalent of the wild west.
- be very careful with the links you click on
- also be careful with the emails you open and links contained within
- credit cards stored online is risky no matter what the vendor tells you

Re: Battery Backup?
Further, as with all generators, they are an outdoor only item (or at least an open garage). Uhm, ya... I figured everyone would realize that. Don't run it in an open garage either. Every time there's a widespread power outage, there are a few families who die because they ran their generator in an...

Re: Itchy nose
I'm enjoying my Quattro FX mask. For the most part my numbers are very good. The only problem is that I wake up two or three times a night with a very itchy nose. Any ideas on how to stop this? I am assuming you mean on the outside surface of your nose because I too occasionally have the same issue...

Re: Battery Backup?
A caution about a generator (like the Honda listed), it does not produce a pure sine wave. It produces a modified sine wave. It also produces DC output which can be input into a pure sine wave inverter and out pops pure sine wave AC power. Further, as with all generators, they are an outdoor only i...

I have never needed a backup solution; however, I'm thinking one of
these would be a nice solution that would also provide power for other
devices when you are not sleeping

Re: Did you feel instantly better?
Once the following was achieved... - therapy was dialed-in - I became more knowledgeable about treatment - I became used to the equipment ...I felt 100% better. Now it is just not normal for me to sleep without my equipment and I remember at the beginning it was not normal to sleep with it. Stick wi...

We could say that about your post.ignorant1 wrote: It can be fascinating (up to a point) to observe someone’s psyche as they prattle on in such a manner, but it does get old (and disruptive) after a while.

If you were on the machine... then it is normal at the outset to have a headache.
Also, perhaps the mask was too tight... which can also cause a headache.

Check the fitting video available here: http://www.resmed.com/us/products/swift_fx/videos.html?nc=patients&sec=true Some things to try: - use the fitting guide at the video above as your baseline guide then adjust from there as to what works for you - experiment with the different pillow sizes that ...

Re: MASK PROBLEMS!!!
That mask is driving me crazy!! I adjust it and adjust it and it keeps leaking and waking me up!! I even went to the DME and got a brand new one, and that one leaks too!! This happens periodically for reasons completely unknown to me! I don't change anything but it's like suddenly the mask doesn't ...

Re: Sleep Lab Pi$$ed me off
Instead of, "See you in a year." Once again I'm thankful for this forum. Back in 2008 I had 2 sleep studies. After that the clinic told me I could forgo the appointment with the sleep doctor and head straight to the DME. I told them I wanted to see the sleep doctor. They told me the sleep doctor wo...
