Re: SleepyHead anomaly in statistics
Hello: I've posted about this before, but was waiting again until I had a neat 30 days at a single setting again, so I could do a direct comparison. There seems to be a discrepancy in the way SleepyHead reports AHI. On the Satistics page, my "Last 30 Days" column lists my AHI as 2.13. However, in t...

Re: SleepHead Statistics anomaly
On the "Statistics" tab in SleepyHead, the "CPAP Statistics" summary lists my AHI for the Last 30 Days as 2.41. However, the most recent (top) two rows in the "Changes to Prescription Settings" for AHI read: 20 days - 1.89, and 10 days - 1.51. That doesn't seem to compute, to me. Any explanation fo...

Re: SD card questions, ResMed S9 Autoset
A. No. Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) cards, as well as mini and micro SDHC cards, and SDXC cards, do not work with S9 therapy devices." I bought a card, which is still in the packaging, to try, then noticed it was SDHC. I guess if I try it and it doesn't work the worst thing is I'm out $10, s...

Re: SD card questions, ResMed S9 Autoset
SD cards seem to have a high failure rate even if you do everything "right." I doubt there are enough "rewrites" to matter much for an SD card in a CPAP machine. In my experience, any SD or SDHC cards seem to work OK for PRS1 and ResMed machines, although some people have reported SDHC won't work o...

SD card questions, ResMed S9 Autoset
Greetings: I had a weird glitch in the importing of data from the SD card in my 6 month old S9 Autoset machine yesterday, though it seemed to work OK today. I have read somewhere here that it is advised to change out the SD card for a new one periodically, due to the way that the S9 writes data to t...

Re: ResMed Autostart too sensitive
Tried Autostart on my S9 Auto for the first time last night. Way too sensitive. Instead of allowing me to mask up, lie down and then breathe to start the machine, it kicked in the moment I put the nasal pillows on, even though I was deliberately mouth breathing. Dumb machine doesn't realize I can't...

Re: Changed my filter for the first time
I thought they were substantially similar between the two machines. Sorry about that, my bad, I apologize. *Flogs self in penitence for promulgating bad information* I guess the air in your place is just full of crap. In that case maybe you should consider an indoor air purifier? I'd been running m...

Re: Changed my filter for the first time
Larger/Thicker grey foam filter = 6 months Thinner White Filter = 2 weeks - 1 months If you left the white filter in for 6 months you may have harmed your machine and/or shortened its life since it had to exert significantly more effort to pull air through that cruddy white filter that was so badly...

Re: Changed my filter for the first time
Unfortunately, this is what happens when you deal with idiots, and even worse, this is a very common occurrence in medicine. You always need to double check everything, down to the smallest detail. They don't give a crap about your machine and if it breaks. Yeah, they were idiots, for sure. The "sl...

Re: Changed my filter for the first time
I was under the impression that the replacement schedule was 1 month for filters. Source: http://www.resmed.com/us/en/consumer/support/replacement/replacement-option.html Medicare provides 2 disposable filters per month (this is the white filter for respironics) and 1 washable filter every 6 months...

Changed my filter for the first time
I changed the filter on my S9 Auto for the first time today - 6 months since I bought the machine. The recommendation was to change it every 6 months. I was amazed and appalled to see the amount of crud, dust, etc., on the old filter. I live in a condo that faces on to a major arterial, so maybe the...
