Re: OT - Net Neutrality
Why the hell am I getting into this argument? 49 is a SF liberal whose city is overrun by the homeless and a robot is needed to scare them to their senses and they let a murderer go free (who just happened to be an illegal immigrant), so we need misdirection and stir up the pot a little (politicall...

Re: Still can't sleep
I've read lots of posts here and it seems that everybody is different in their C-Pap journey but the general advice is to hang in there. Some posts are downright discouraging and I feel like scrapping the whole idea. I am on Day 21 and this is not easy. I have a history of insomnia and still can't ...

Re: OT- Horrible luck for tadpole.
I'm sorry this happened to your grandson. I remember when my kids were his age and how important a car was to them for the same reason. Hopefully, he can find a job that is closer to his home. However, when you think about what's going on in this country and around the world... the hurricanes, fire...

Re: Is Nausea Common with Sleep Apnea?
It's not normally related, but if someone is prone to a 'symptom' of any kind it is possible they'll feel better with more oxygen in their system. However I suggest you see your MD about the nausea for its own sake - haven't you ever done that? Thanks for your reply. I have mentioned it to my docto...

Re: CPAP and Anxiety
Hi TBonz, Even though you have only been on Paxil for 7 days, you might have to reduce the dose at a slower pace when you are ready to get off of it. How much did you cut the dose by? Jim22 has offered excellent advice about the issue of Xanax and dependency. On a related note, I became dependent on...

Re: Best Insurers for Individual Policies
The problem is that you can't really find out what type of DME coverage it is until AFTER you sign up, and then only if you request the Evidence of Coverage document which spells it out in detail. If you try to get the EOC before you sign up they may not provide it and may tell you that it's "propr...

Re: Help..nasal congestion no full face mask
Anything I can do I tried flonase and mucinex not really helping Sent from my LG-H830 using Tapatalk I found wearing a full face mask when I had a cold was not helpful and in fact, made it harder for me to breath. But fortunately, raising the pressure solved the problem. You might want to give this...

Re: Change in pressure
After all this time she still has no idea what Cpap's about... the most basic feature, minimum pressure. Disgraceful. No Julie, what is disgraceful is your recent mean-spirited posts in which you seem to have nothing but criticisms when replying to people. If you don't have anything helpful to add ...

If they could only come up with a pill to force the brain to allow you to adapt to XPAP... But I'm sure the CAN'Ts would find it hard to swallow, pun intended, Too Big, Wrong Flavor, Don't like the Shape or Color! Jim The xPAP I adapted to quite easily. The fact I have been given no settings or mac...

Re: VA has been good until now
When i went to VA about my sleep deprivation the other week asking for something to make me sleep better so maybe i would feel more awake i was asked a million questions. I kept saying anesthesiologist said i had sleep apnea and I'm awaiting on study results. But no Dr kept trying to ask me if i wa...

Re: Positive health effects from treatment?
I've had hypertension since i was in service so exercise won't help that lol, i quit smoking and that did nothing, ate healthy reduced salt blah blah blah and none of that ever made a difference so I'm hoping CPAP therapy does! Once i actually have energy again i do want to start exercising more ag...

Re: VA has been good until now
Still not getting anywhere with the Nuvigil request. I escalated to the Patient Advocate yesterday and am waiting to hear back. The latest from my PCP was to wait for the sleep study results (like even IF they came up with settings and/or a machine that worked for me - the effect would be immediate...

Re: Positive health effects from treatment?
People report their hair loss has stopped and even reversed... same for bedroom problems which apparently got better. I personally think that an hour of working out is half an hour too much and can even be counterproductive (your appetite goes crazy after too much of it), and that low-carb, while a...

Re: Positive health effects from treatment?
So I'm curious what possible positive health effects i might experience? Currently i have hypertension that is not ideally controlled. I gained 40 pounds in a couple months while in service, elevated liver enzymes since i got out of service, just found our I'm pre- diabetic. Assuming these things a...
