Re: Day two of CPAP, need advice/support/cookies...
At least you are getting good sleep with it! I was diagnosed with osa about 4 months ago and just recently I have been able to sleep with it on for 5 hours at a time. Consider yourself lucky that you adjusted to it so quickly! I have had all sorts of trouble and adjusting to the pressure, getting ce...

nasel pillow sizing question
Hi, I have a dreamware nasal pillow mask. I am having some trouble getting the pillows adjusted correctly. I got the med size pillows. It seems like when I have the nasal pillows, sometimes they fold over or are not getting lined up with my nostrils correctly. After a few hours sometimes it seems li...

Anyone use the Resmed s9 Vpap TX?
I saw a really good deal on a resmed s9 vpap tx. It looks like it does everything from autopap to avs. It has an adapter to hook it up the a computer for realtime monitoring by sleep techs. My question is, can I use it like a regular cpap or asv machine without hooking it up to a computer? Can I acc...

Re: easy-to-read oxymeter
I use an 02 vibe, it is the most comfortable one I have found as it goes around your finger like a ring. It can also vibrate if your 02 goes down. Once you disconnect it, it pairs with your phone via bluetooth automatically. costco has them for the cheapest at around $150.

Re: When using a CPAP, I simply stop inhaling
I dont have the expertise as the others on the board so take what i say with a grain of salt. I find myself stopping breathing sometimes when i am in that twlight state. i believe it i a onset central apnea which is common for most people when they fall asleep. There are a few people who get central...

Re: Newbie - Doctor called me for results, quite scared.
Thanks for the replies, I started another thread earlier after I got out of the doctors office. I had 8.67 AHI and the reason I don't snore is that it's partial; I am very relieved it wasn't central or anything bad. I am waiting for my insurance to send me the machine and am very hopeful. I ...

Your 02 levels do not look bad at all. Better than mine and I have mild apnea. But if you think you have it, ask your doctor and they can do a take home test for you. Or you can do some mail in places online if you don't have insurance, but I am not sure how accurate they are.

Re: Opinion of home sleep studies
I had a take home test from Kaiser and I honestly did not buy it. The thing with Kaiser, is they have a computer grade your ahi score and a dr dosent even look at it. That's why I really didn't buy it. I was awake for the first 4-5 hours watching tv and moving my 02 sensor from finger to finger as i...
