Re: Doc told me not to use the humidifier
I went for my 1 month follow up appointment with my sleep doctor yesterday. I’m at 100% compliance and I have to have the humidifier turned on in it every night. I love the thing — I’ve literally never slept this good before in my life. Well, my doctor told me yesterday that he wanted me to stop us...

Re: Pulled BiPap Off Of counter - how to stop this
Last night I pulled my BiPAP off of my nightstand in my sleep. - as I woke up I rolled over and dragged the thing off of the counter. Of course, it dumped water everywhere and I dont know if the machine currently works right etc and am hesitant to use a machine that may be water damaged. But my que...

Re: Urgent help in South Carolina need full ResMed mask
Guys, I just arrived in Myrtle Beach this afternoon after a 12 hour drive and little sleep last night… just laid down for a good nights sleep and realized that I packed a new hose, but forgot headgear!!! Ugh, it’s going to be a long night. I’ve been searching around on the web for DME suppliers, bu...

Re: AHI isn't everything
Hey Team, Just wanted to put this up for discussion and give my perspective on the matter. Don't let your AHI dictate your quality of sleep. There's so many other factors. For example; I've been on APAP therapy the past few months and my AHI has probably been a 1.5 on average (From a staggering 21....

Re: OT: When did Medicare stop covering glucose test strips?
Edgepark called to refill my CGMs. I usually get a package of test strips for use in checking the accuracy of the reader. They informed me that Medicare does not cover the test strips now--WTF???!!! I thought it was THE LAW!. Does anybody know what is going on? It has always covered the test strips...

Re: Battery backup for my cpap
So I have been using a black and Decker power mate 400 for a backup when power is out or for camping... It has been fine and done well for many years.... but last night the power was out and I used it for a good nights rest.... But today I put it on charge and the two reds came on but that is it. N...

Re: Cpap "flipping" over
Hi, Does anyone have a problem with Resmed Autoset 11 flipping over if the hose is pulled/tugged while sleeping? I am a restless sleeper, lots of rolling over b/c of back aches. Never had a problem with Respironics Dream, but I've flipped the Resmed 11 over now twice in the past week. Any suggestio...

Re: Not feeling better with APAP
I have been using an air sense 10 auto set with a Phillips dreamwear nasal cushion for two weeks . I have reviewed the Oscar data and my sleep seems to be good; very few events per hour and a good seal. I’ll attach the results. However I don’t feel better yet, I’ve tried different pressures but not...

Re: Obesity and Apnea
Back to the first post, so far in this thread, there doesn’t seem to be much interest in losing weight , in the possibility that losing weight would improve apnea , or in the new miracle drugs I brought up. People amaze me. Here is some of the relevant research, and good luck to you. https://www.ne...

Re: Full face mask option for bearded dude?
Hi all, Relatively new to cpap, started about a month ago. My biggest problem seems to be with mouth leak. As I have a beard, I decided on trying nasal masks to start with. I've tried the resmed p10, philips nasal pillow and philips under the nose. The p10 seems to be the best. Unfortunately with a...
