Re: Chin strap and FFM?
I've tried the ResMed chinstrap (single strap design) and couldn't get it to stay in place with any mask, no matter how it was configured. After trying at least half a dozen chinstrap options, I've had the most luck with these: Ruby Chinstrap (stays in place better than anything, but is also more li...

Re: Somniflex Sleep Strips To Keep Mouth Closed
WOW! Taping over my mouth before putting on any kind of nose mask or nasal pillows would just totally freak me out! From when I was young and my septum was deviated and sinuses didn't work well I have a deep down feeling that if I were forced to only breath through my nose ( like having tape over m...

Re: Leaky?? Amara View Mask
I did so well with this mask for so long before this started happening. I was fitted with an Amara View over two and a half years ago, and it worked like a dream for about six weeks. However, over time it pulled my lower jaw back and my facial geometry was changed. I was never able to successfully ...

Re: Full Review of Resmed Airfit F30 Full Face Mask
The crown strap will feel very tight no matter what, due to physics and its position relative to the other straps. However, when I loosened it that took care of the excess upwards pressure on my nose. So this is three weeks later. I wound up loosening the crown strap another quarter of an inch, pul...

Re: Resperonics dreamwear ffm
I've been using the AirFit F30 for nearly a month now, and it does not have the issues that you mentioned with the DreamWear FFM. However, for the F30 to work you have to make sure that your nostrils are directly over the nostril-holes in the mask when putting it on, and if you bump the mask in the ...

Re: Side Sleeper pillows?
I too am a "side sleeper", and have tried two different versions of the side-sleeper pillows and did not find either of them any benefit. I have better experience with simply resting my head at the edge of an ordinary bed pillow. TheDuke That's what I finally decided after using a CPAPMax pillow fo...

Re: AirFit F30 sizing
I've completed 2 nights with the F30. The DME fitted me with a Medium but it's not been sealing well at night unless I just crank it tight as I can tolerate. I keep leaking mostly from the bottom crease of the nose. I'm going to try a small although according to the sizing card, I should be a mediu...

Re: Full Review of Resmed Airfit F30 Full Face Mask
Okay, so here is the full review: I have had the mask for about 2 1/2 weeks and have slept with it several times. https://www.dropbox.com/s/a3yyi98ufdbv5qz/mask%20front%20view%20o.jpg?dl=0 First of all, I have put up many pictures here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/tf4k7whbz1jic3h/AACN-jNniKklzNJu5xh...

AirFit F30 sizing
I finally ordered an Airfit F30 and received the medium version on Monday. However, it did not fit my face correctly, so I emailed the supplier that I ordered it from and she sent me a small cushion, which I received yesterday. I'm happy to report that it fit me perfectly. I slept well with it last ...

Re: ResMed AirFit F30 - Initial reactions
My sleeping improved dramatically when I switched back to the AirFit F10 on the 3rd night -- the F10s larger air chamber feels more vented and comfortable. I slept with my AirFit F30 for the first time last night and felt that, coming from the DreamWear FFM, the F30 felt "more vented and comfortabl...

Re: PVP surgery and F30
Sorry but those two pieces aren't even close as I wondered the very same thing and checked/compared the two closely. Thank you! Looks like I'll just have to buy the whole mask if I want to try it... I'm getting great therapy with the DreamWear FFM, but I've always preferred ResMed's headgear and qu...

Re: PVP surgery and F30
An interesting aside I discovered yesterday is that the mask-hose interface elbow from the F20 & F30 are 100% interchangeable with each other. Secondly, least for me, I find the F20 elbow even quieter, less intrusive than the highly advertised uber quiet F30 venting with its plastic shroud cap. How...

Re: Beads of water in tube
If you do buy a heated hose, which is an awesome thing to have, you might also consider running a "warmup" cycle each morning after emptying your humidifier chamber.
That's a good way to dry out both the chamber and the tube so that they don't harbor any unwelcome life forms.
