Re: Events per hour
From what I have read on the forum, switching mask types can change your pressure needs (due to an increase in mask air volume.
On some brands of machine , there is a mask setting that needs to be changed (not sure if that will affect the AHI or not)

Re: Any ideas on what's going on
Pugsy, ResScan actually shows more sawteeth (I think). Thanks for looking at it, I appreciate it. My respiration rate, based on your graph is about 13 (Sleepyhead reported 40-50), but see Ted's reference. Although weird, I'm not concerned. I will bring it up with my cardiologist just to show him he ...

Re: Any ideas on what's going on
Ted,
Thanks for that. I was suspicious of my RR graphs. RR hit 50/min. I would have figured if it was that high, I would wake up dead the next morning.

Re: Any ideas on what's going on
PR,
In doing some reading, the artifact can be picked up on any pressure measuring device they use. Heck, they've even seen it on the EEG traces (still trying to wrap my brain around that one). Thanks for checking, though

Re: Any ideas on what's going on
Thank you, PugsyI have a copy of your card and I have ResScan and as soon as I have the time and find a usable SD card I am going to run it through my ResScan just to see what it shows.

Re: Any ideas on what's going on
I suspect it may be a postural/positional thing. I spend the vast majority or even entirety of the night on my stomach (based on the observation that I have never woken up in any other position). I believe that adds to the pressure applied to the heart, which would magnify any pressure wave from the...

Re: Any ideas on what's going on
OK, a little research. The saw toothed pattern is an echo of a pressure wave generated by the heartbeat. It is relatively uncommon, but not unheard of and does not appear to be symptomatic of anything. Evidently the software that sleep labs use have a way of dealing with it mathematically. I couldn'...

Re: Any ideas on what's going on
The cardiac thing sounds probable. I have paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (usually I can feel it and it lasts for 8-72hrs). I wonder if I may be having a "micro" episode. I will ask Dr when I get my pacer read in May. In the meantime, I will try APAP mode at 14-17 cm. Thanks for you analysis and sugg...

Pugsy,
I don't have that option when I right-click the drive. Any other suggestions? Nevermind had a moron moment.
