Re: Taping Mouth?
Ok, I keep reading here about people who tape their mouths. At first I thought it had to be a rare or odd thing, or maybe even a joke, but no, lots of you talk about it! So, questions: What kind of tape? Like bandage tape? And why tape instead of a full face mask or chin strap? And how do you do it...

Re: Unofficial Bipap Users Thread
As you can see by my "Additional info" in my profile (that comment was for you jaylee), I am at 19/15. I have tried two nasal masks, one full face mask, and one hybrid mask, and they all leak. The swift is great but I have mouth leaking problems. If you do not have mouth leaking, then I think the pi...

Re: Your pressure is ???
Psst, Jaylee, how about inviting Ted over to the Love on the Forum thread? I think he likes you! Oh I have no doubt that Ted is either married or has a girlfriend. There are only a few single people in this place. Or both??? Just the former. John - I also am happy with the swift but I am still stru...

Re: Your pressure is ???
Mine is 18/13. I suppose that I could be a good girl and go put it in my profile. But I generally do not like being told what to do! I don't like it either. But I do it if it make sense - as did you. Bravo. Any idea as to how to make this a sticky, or ask the "board" to modify the profile request t...

Re: Feel horrible on CPAP
If you are feeling worse, then it is because you are sleeping worse. Something is disturbing your sleep. The only question is what. If you are like me, your AHI maybe low but you are still waking-up frequently because of mouth leaks. You state that your leak rate is low (assuming that your machine i...

Your pressure is ???
I have been BiPAPing for 3 months. I am struggling to find the best mask and to concur my mouth leaking problem. So much depends on what pressure you are using. We need to know what your pressure setting is. Please state it in your Profile. Along with your equipment description, there is a place to ...

Re: Humidifier Water Poll
I use softened tap water. As long as you don't boil all the water off, you should be able to rinse the remaining water out, and any remaining minerals. I have had no build up over two months so far.

Re: BiPaP Masks
I can't use a nose mask either. I am at 19/15 and I love the swift LT nasal but too much mouth leaking. Tried a few chin straps but still leaks (the leaks wake me up so I sleep poorly). Been taping for the last week and that helps to stop the leaks but I still need the chin strap otherwise my cheeks...

Re: I don't want to go to bed anymore
don't want to wear the thing? I don't want to eat healthy every day. I want to lay around and eat chocolate and chips and dip. I don't want to wear less then comfortable professional looking clothes to work. I don't want to do the dishes. I don't want to visit the dentist. I didn't want to get out ...

Re: I don't want to go to bed anymore
Getting really frustrated with the whole thing. After almost 3 weeks I just don't seem to get very much sleep. Some nights I dread going to bed. I'm getting pretty used to the mask and humidity setting (set at 2) so that's not the problem. Just not much sleep at all. I lay there with the mask and u...

Re: Love the pillows but too much mouth leaking
I tried tape last night and it worked well. No mouth leaks all night. My leak rate decreased to 0.48l/s. I used a light chin strap. I was surprised to see that my leak rate was still slightly above the allowable level. I think my chin strap causes my swift to move so tonight I will try no chin strap...
