Re: How has CPAP changed you?
I am still too new a user to swear by this, but I have three positive benefits so far: 1. Snoring completely stopped, Husband can return to sleeping in our room. We had slept apart for years. 2. Easier to fall asleep, most nights. The mask seems to signal "sleep time" to my pea brain, and the freer ...

Sheriff, thanks for the great advice! We don't have a headboard but if it stays put under a memory foam BedinaBox, Hose Buddy should work.

Re: DME ordering Respironics PR One - is this a good machine?
Hello, newbie here, have been using the machine you ask about for two+ months and I like it very much. A bit heavy/bulky for easy plane travel, but otherwise compact enough. I don't use the humidifier or Auto feature. You can read the AHI and Leak data from it, very easily. It is very quiet with the...

My two-month success report
Things are going pretty well! My doctor didn't give me any info whatsoever during my followup visit (first one since starting CPAP therapy) so I checked the machine myself. Guess that's what you all do, but it finally sank in. Good news! My AHI is 1.8 for last 30 days and 1.5 for past week. That's g...

Re: Confusion after one week using CPAP
Thanks everybody, sorry for long delay. Things are going much better now. I like the nasal pillows and the sleepiness went away. Since the sleepiness started in January and the machine in June, I think it was unrelated. Maybe I had mild Lyme disease or something like that. Or, maybe the apneas were ...

Re: Confusion after one week using CPAP
Thanks Pugsy, yes that's my machine. I will talk to them about the software. I was not tired before using CPAP but now I am very tired, and even some days I wake up quite depressed, and was not depressed before. It will be a challenge to comply.

Re: OK to switch to different mask type at same setting?
Thanks everybody! I used the pillows for the first time last night and liked them a lot. No mask marks, no red swollen nose. Slept quite well. The pressure felt lighter (though the regular nasal mask air pressure was fine too), and the whooshing sound was much reduced. Surprising that the mask type ...

OK to switch to different mask type at same setting?
Hello all, I received my second mask, Swift FX nasal pillows, after having skin come off my nose from a regular nasal mask. The doc's office didn't mention changing the pressure setting, so I assume they did not change it. It is 6. A lot of you have made this change, I see from reading many posts, s...

Re: Sleep Apnea is it the leading cause of failure to read Posts
It's pretty bloody ridiculous if you ask me. In fact, my sleep doctor who I have to check in with every few months actually told me off for buying a nasal pillow mask. He said that at my pressure (20cm) I need a FFM. I said, "Thanks for the info, you could've told that six months ago BEFORE I SPENT...

Re: Confusion after one week using CPAP
Thanks everyone, appreciate the replies. I am going to switch to nasal pillow type and see if that is better. Now of course, after stopping CPAP entirely I am sleeping much better.

Re: Irritation from Silicone Mask
Yes, I am having this exact problem after only one week with the Zest silicone mask. I am otherwise tolerating it, but this is a deal breaker. Might try a nasal pillow type instead.

Confusion after one week using CPAP
Hello all, This forum has been helpful already... I have been reading posts for newbies. Here is my problem: After one week with my Zest nasal mask, skin is coming off my big long nose so I would like to try the Tap Pap that some of you have recommended. First, I have a few questions about my machin...
