Re: CPAP & Cosmetics?
I wash and moisturize, but not just before bed. Then, just before masking up, I use a soft cloth to wipe away any surface oils or excess moisturizer. It makes cleaning the mask and straps easier.

Re: Change in RX--Did it Happen?
Sleepyhead has my machine as: Auto CPAP. Dreammapper has it listed as : Auto CPAP with A-Flex. I thought an "auto" meant that there was adjustments in pressure that adjusted to breathing events. I didn't realize that it was a exhale comfort feature. My Dreammapper still shows my minimum ramp pressu...

Re: Getting my CPAP today, wish me luck!
About two months after starting treatment, I noticed I could sit and work the crossword puzzle in the newspaper without falling asleep, and could sit and watch a television show without falling asleep. Hopefully, you will begin to notice improvement sooner than I did. Yes, that was my experience, t...

What you're experiencing sounds awful, and I wish I could help. You're remarkably civil for being sleep-deprived.

Re: Used Mask from DME?
I went to pick up a new cushion for my Amara View mask at the DME. The one they gave me was in a torn baggie. I thought that was odd. Usually, the masks are in these airtight bags that obviously came from a manufacturer. Anyone ever received used equipment from a DME that was sold to you as "new?" ...

Re: Getting my CPAP today, wish me luck!
Well shoot, it's lunch time now and I'm dozing off during my lunch break. How long should I expect before the therapy makes me feel less tired during the day? I wonder if this is a red herring and my fatigue is caused by something else. It's possible that it's something else, but don't give up on P...

Re: Resmed Airfit P20
I call that little pointy part the inner cone tip. And yes it will be inside the nostril just a teeny bit but it shouldn't ever touch the inside of the nose at all. The size that works best for me (Small) does touch the inside of my nose. The XS is not an option as the pillow rim is ever-so-slightl...

Re: What the H Just Happened?
And it's back to unicorns and rainbows! When I got home from work last night, my blessed husband had washed all the bed linens, including the bedspread, and had vacuumed thoroughly, even under the bed with an attachment and vacuumed the drapes, had dusted everywhere, including the ceiling fan and s...

Re: A leaking hole on the front of Dreamwear Nasal Mask
Like the OP, I was a little disappointed to discover that second exhalation port on the front of the nosepiece cushion that may give the impression there's a leak. I was hoping that there was just one port on the elbow on top of the head, since that would be one advantage of this innovative design....

Re: Getting my CPAP today, wish me luck!
Well I competed my first night! It wasn't that hard to sleep. I think it went pretty well! The machine says events per hour were 0.5 and I used the machine 8.5 hours. I feel pretty good, not any dramatic improvement or anything, but maybe it's too soon? Anyway I slept and that was the main thing I ...
