Re: black mold in water chamber

your equipment provider should be getting you new chambers often enough to avoid that. For my insurance, I get them every quarter, I believe. Be careful, mold is a pretty terrible thing to have in your lungs and it can be hard to treat.

Re: Night #2 on CPAP & Dreading It

Sorry you're having trouble. Stick with it. Go back and have your pressures tweaked if it persists. Stay relentlessly compliant. If it's not working after an adjustment period, work with your equipment provider to make sure masks and such are all working. Then work with doctor. Keep working on it un...

Re: US healthcare the best?

People seem surprised sometimes that you can get free or near free care in some countries without hassles. Or that healthcare in places like Middle East and North Africa can be actually quite good.

Re: Do I really need a new titration study??

I'm not trying to be a jerk, and I am new here, but is that kind of tone necessary? Often it is...You can't be thin skinned on this board I'm someone who has done tough jobs that involved confronting bad people directly. I have never consider myself thin skinned. Re: Nasal Pillows and sore nostrils.

in regards to sore nose from nasal pillows, I would guess that you need to play with the sizes more. All of the creams in the world can't fix pressure on nostrils like that. Reduce the tension of the headgear and use a smaller size, if possible. My experience has been that once you have the headgear...

Re: Nasal Pillows and sore nostrils.

OP, I hope you get your nasal pillows issues worked out. If I may ask, what doctor do you use, and are you in Portland? I just moved out here and I'm trying to reestablish and am having a tough time finding intel on a great sleep medicine provider. I realize you may not be in this area, but I figure...

Re: Do I really need a new titration study??

IMO its dumb because apnea doesn't usually go away without surgery of weight loss. A baseless statement for most. The AirSense 10 actually uploads data on it's own to ResMed's online application called MyAir and its included free. SD cards are becoming a thing of the past. MyAir is nothing compared...

Re: US healthcare the best?

Nope, I hate to generalize.

This is the part where you start quoting some reddit article or other website you read containing a list of logical fallacies. Save your breath =)

I am taking garlic now as a supplement, I have no idea if it's helping or not. I'm pretty sure it doesn't hurt anything =)

Blood Pressure meds (Beta blockers in particular)

After about six months and two different blood pressure meds, I am on the path to getting off them altogether. I was on Lisinopril for awhile and it didn't seem to manage my blood pressure. I had alot of issues with eye discomfort but that were conflated with sinus issues at the time. Doc took me of...

Re: US healthcare the best?

in strict healthcare terms Bernie's proposals work in almost every other developed country on the planet you have to realize that for the people that rail against socialism, and such, *there are no other developed countries on the planet*. I hate to generalize, but it always seems that the people w...

Re: US healthcare the best?

getting rid of the for profit health insurance industry entirely would go a long, long, long way towards helping to fix the American health care system. Vote for Bernie. Then come back in 10 years and tell us how socialism is working for you. Humorous, but the fact is that the proof is that in stri...

Re: Dreamer cushion mask and leakages

I tried the dreamwear and couldnt get a quiet seal. for me its about not having it blowing in my eyes or making a ton of noise. i just couldnt make it work for me. I reached out to Apria locally and they couldnt give me any insight. Then i reached out to Philips, who kind of said "sorry" but really ...

Re: US healthcare the best?

It's great, IF you have lots of financial resources. But that's true almost anywhere in the world. If you are someone who doesn't have alot, it's horrible. Our system costs double per capita what most other single payer systems pay for healthcare. We are the only civilized nation on earth without a ...
