Re: Doctor's Orders - CPAP and Colds
I am definitely not a doctor, but for me the risk of not using CPAP (Autopap in my case) is much greater than the risk of having problems with a cold. Seek out support and encouragement from others who have gone or are going through it. You need to find a way to become compliant. Manage the symptoms and stay on top of it. Once you get it worked out (and it may take an ENT to make it work, like it did me) you will be much happier. Stay positive.

I tried this mask/pillow and it never sealed against my nose. I actually contacted Philips directly and gave them some feedback. The design itself is actually pretty great. It just wouldn't stay sealed to my nose. It's also somewhat loud, compared to a swift FX. They never reimbursed me for the cost...

I am not using heated tubing. Would the heated tubing help the water evaporate and not collect in the hose (and then drip directly into my nose?)
I am willing to buy one immediately as long as it's compatible with my autopap!

Need an ENT/Sleep Medicine Doctor rec's in Portland, OR area
Hi! I'm new to the forum but certainly not new to Apnea. I've had two turbinate ablations, uvulectomy/adenoidectomy. My nose is now alot clearer, passable with Autopap, but my throat now seems to be a real problem with drying out and such. My average pressure is 12.3 or so according to the software ...
