Get another AirCurve 10 while they are still available. Look at what good service you got under your current machine. There is no way to know when an 11 version will come out and you don't know the reliability.

If you disable the modem and it was purchased through insurance, there may be a problem. Most likely voided the warranty too.

Go into your settings and find EPR.....That is the pressure relief. You can set it to 1,2,3,. That's the amount of pressure reduction when you exhale.

With the machine running and the humidifier at 4-5...Touch the heating plate under the water tub. If its warm or hot, the humidifier is working. Be careful..sometimes its very hot.

Why not just make the switch and see how you feel. It's really no big deal. If you know your average pressure on APAP, use that as your fixed pressure on CPAP setting. Since the air coming out of your CPAP is coming from the room where the machine is located, I would be concerned about any odors in the room.

With that negative attitude CPAP may be a problem for you. You have to want it to work.

Whatever is in the water tub NEVER enters the machine.The machine blows it into the hose and mask. If cleaning doesn't get rid of the alcohol smell, buy a new water tub and possibly a hose.
