Very creative and well thought out! I'm fortunate enough not to be a mouth breather, but I'd happily borrow your design if I was and needed to tape.

Still praying for you both, Dori. I hope the second mask works OK until you can get a new one.

Re: Itchy nose, No rest for the weary!

If you are still using moisturizers, etc., I would recommend against Vaseline or any other petroleum-based product, as they can cause your mask to deteriorate.

Madalot,

I couldn't agree more. Dori reminds me so much of my own mom. Her love for Mike is so clear. I continue to pray for both of them.

Smart Doc. Some don't want us to try to get help from other PAPers.

Welcome.

Yes. I assume it means that the heating plate is not constantly on.

Re: new user would like to know more about stats

My comments were based on the observed behavior of my Intellipap. It is made by a different company (based in the US), and used by a much smaller percentage of people, than the machines used by the other posters here (whose manufacturers are not US-based). Maybe that explains the difference, or mayb...

I believe that when you first plug it in, the clock starts. The first 24 hours would be day 1, the next 24 hours day 2, etc. If you unplug it and then plug it back in, the clock starts over.

I'm sure my lungs are cleaner now than they were before I started PAP therapy. I change my fine filter at least twice a month, s...

Re: OT: Moving Parents into New Home

It's tough to let go of things/places that have been such an integral part of our lives. Hang in there. Simplifying??? *shakes head* They recently built a brand new 2 car garage. For what??? You guessed it *eyeroll*, extended location for the stuff. Never seen a automobile in there, just outside the...

Re: Sleeping too much because sleep is so great! Advice?

You may very well be "repaying your sleep debt." If you're able to do it w/o harm to family, job, etc., I'd say go for it. I'm glad to hear you're finding PAP therapy so helpful.

Wow, you really got stuck between a rock and a hard place. I'm sorry you had so much trouble, and hope you never have a repeat performance.

Ayr nasal gel swabbed gently inside the nose really helped me before my nose got used to PAP.
