Re: Help with CAs
Pressure support. You mean EPR? Yes. The difference between Inhalation and exhalation pressure. Different machines call it different names (EPR, PS, FLEX, A-FLEX, C-FLEX, ). So why did you not use the standard EPR term as shown on my Sleepyhead screen?? Do you try to be confusing? The English langu...

Re: Help with CAs
Restless and light sleep. It appears my ahi has been creeping up. I now see no OA but a bunch of CA. When I originally had my home sleep study they just found OA and no CA. Then your CA problem is either caused by treatment, or they are false and reflect arousals. I would vary the pressure support ...

Re: Help, why is cpap suddenly not working?
Hi all Thanks for the replies. Not to be dramatic but seeing people genuinely trying to help and support actually made me cry- you can thank sleep deprivation for that, but it means a lot. Also I am on a mac and it often changes the words I type so sometimes things dont make sense, so sorry, will t...

Re: Help, why is cpap suddenly not working?
If you had said that" in some cases a higher minimum pressure than you normally recommend" it would have been clear. Thanks for the suggestion but I won't use your sentence since it does not make any sense. Confusing. I think you understand the point - don't set the minimum pressure too low just be...

Re: Help, why is cpap suddenly not working?
You should use sleepyhead to see what is going on. Setting the minimum pressure high enough can be very important, especially for people who need a pressure much higher than their normal pressure need. The sleep tech changed me to fixed and put me on 14, it didnt help so I upped it to 15.5 and whil...

Ok I will look into this sleepyhead thing, and see if I can post my results.

Re: Ah ha! I get it now
So I have had my CPAP (Phillips Respironics Dreamstation) for a little over a month now and due to constraints of needing to be in compliance have not slept with it yet since early attempts to do so always resulted in me knocking the mask off and waking up to .3 hours of time elapsed and needing to...

That looks like a real OA to me. I think you need more pressure.

Re: Sudden increase in leak/ahi rate
I switched out the hose and it doesn't seem to be any better. I'm pretty sure the settings didn't get changed. I appreciate the suggestions! Here's my graphs from last night. 1.jpeg2.jpeg3.jpeg Zoom in and show us what a typical OA looks like. If it looks like a real OA event, then you need more pr...
