Re: DME remote access

you can pop the cover off and pull a plug, it's documented in a thread somewhere around here. grayghost4 could probably walk you through it. what I'd do is just call up the DME and tell them that you withdraw any permission for them to access your medical information in any fashion whatsoever, and ...

DME remote access

I've never been in favor of remote access and generally make sure my machine remains in airplane mode. Apparently over a 4 day period I mistakenly turned off airplane mode and a DME I no longer do business with sent my doctor a data report showing 4 days use during a 90 day period. Re: Insurance code help

I've tried to google this info with no luck. Can anyone tell me what the insurance code is for Hypoallergenic filters? I know the code for plain filters is A7038. Does the hypoallergenic filter has it's own code? thanks. My mistake, sorry about that. Medicare will pay for either filter using this c...

Re: ResMed Hypoallergenic filters

My first DME told me hypoallergenic filters did not exist, even after I provided them with the separate billing codes and showed them where to find their "knockoff hypoallergenic" filter in their catalog. I have allergies and two cats. I had not yet begun treatment and their denial that the filters ...

Re: ResMed Hypoallergenic filters

Does anyone use the ResMed Hypoallergenic filters? We have a cat and a dog that sleep in bed with us I'm thinking it might be worthwhile to try them. The filters the medical vendor sold me appear to be cut from a roll of filter material and don't look the same as the filter that came with the machi...

Re: using Ritilin in order to wake up

Ritalin is sometimes ordered for otherwise compliant Cpap patients who have excessive daytime sleepiness. Some insurance companies will not pay the expense of Provigil or Nuvigil and prefer patients try Ritalin first. I am not advocating for or against any of these medications, everyone has a differ...

Re: Most negative forum.

This is a great forum and what makes it so are members like Julie, Chunkyfrog, and Palerider giving so much of their time providing useful information to members looking for answers. Variety is the spice of life and I guess for me this forum is like a variety show at times which keeps me coming back...
