In need of educational material on ResMed Vauto

Can anyone refer me to good educational material on the workings of the ResMed AirCurve 10 Vauto? What I hope to find is something that will help me translate the terms used in the clinical manual and better grasp the operational rationale. If not a single source, perhaps a few that can be digested ...

Re: AirSense 10 auto install instructions

One setting that often slides by un-noticed is under the "Essentials" heading in the "Options" tab (page 17 of the clinical manual). The two settings available are "on" and "plus." With "Plus" you gain the easiest access to future changes as well as information displayed on the machine's screen. Ess...

Re: Please review - first night with vauto

Enviable results - hope they continue. One thing I would note: I have come to the conclusion that one or two bottles of NeilMed Sinus Rinse using nice warm water clears my sinuses well just prior to going to bed. Letting it drain fully seems to minimize nasal congestion and drip significantly. It is...

Re: Best machine - Auto/Bi-PAP to run on DC power.

My question is a bit of a deviation from the original topic but I would like to take advantage of the knowledge base thus far. Living in a part of Florida where storm-related power outages are not uncommon, I am looking for a way of powering my CPAP and O2 during such an outage. The O2 has an existi...

Re: Receiving Supplies and Water Chambers

With a previous company, I believe a new water chamber was always included with my new supplies. How long were you getting the tanks? What did you do with the extra ones? Unless you threw away all the tanks in use when a new one arrived, you should have a few at least. If you did throw them away, w...

Re: SoClean CPAP Cleaner - Backup Machine

Money is not a factor. Send us some - it is a factor for most of us on this forum. Alternatively, establish a foundation to provide equipment and supplies to those who need it but have no insurance or ready means to buy. Good works may help more than protecting a coddled existance. If you do anythi...

If anyone has a site for the Dr Dakota that isn't Amazon could you please point me in the right direction.
From my earlier response: "I just ordered one from the Dr. Dakota website (https://snoringstopbydrdakota.com/) "

Re: SoClean 2 thoughts opinions??

Given that virtually all manufacturers of any product in any category of any industry looks carefully and diligently for add-on products and/or services to increase their sales and profits - why are there no ResMed "CleanItZone" or Respironics "Ozone2U" ? Maybe (probably) because they wouldn't work ...

Re: Success with Dr. Dakota Collar Device

Thanks for this thread. This morning I ordered 'The Eliminator" on Amazon because I can't find a site that ships the Dakota collar to Canada. Looks almost identical. Here's hoping. I use a cervical collar to stop mouth leaks but find it gets so hot ... maybe this will be a solution. Could you be mo...

Re: Success with Dr. Dakota Collar Device

I just ordered one from the Dr. Dakota website (https://snoringstopbydrdakota.com/) and am looking forward to trying it. I don't know how many things I have tried to keep my mouth closed while sleeping - this is the latest in my efforts. One comment about Jason's YouTube video: I think he misses the...

Re: Purchasing a device from SecondwindCPAP

While I have never bought a machine from SecondWind, I sold one to them and was very impressed with the process. At no point in the process - from the initial contact with them to receiving payment - did I feel any pressure or pushing to "steal" the machine or allow obstacles to get in the way. My t...

Re: cleaning machine

You won't find much support for any supposed "cleaning machine" here. Primarily I think, because most have actually researched them. Virtually every commercial I have seen (they're on late night TV a lot) state you don't need to clean anything. Whereas, quite the opposite is true - the most common b...

SH stats - Please tell me if I am interpreting this correctly

Attached is a screenshot of the Stats page of SleepyHead. I have been somewhat puzzled about the different colored bars in the settings change area. I have come to believe the pinks indicate the worst results and their settings; the greens, the best. Thus, the simplest view would be to use the setti...

Re: Medigap

in my case I knew there was a surgery that I had to decide on within a year that would have presented me with a definite minimum co-pay of at least $10,000. Can you explain a little more? I'm assuming you have Medicare Part B, and the discussion is about supplementing that coverage with a Medigap p...
