Re: Still kind of tired after two years of CPAP

That is unfortunate that you have been under treated for so long. As Pugsy said, you need more pressure. Up the minimum to 8 and report back in a few days.

We need to ban all guns so they will be as hard to get as drugs. Problem solved. :?:

Re: Still Tired After 6 Mos of CPAP

Some people are disturbed by pressure fluctuations. For that reason they switch to cpap. I suggest setting the range very small (like cpap) at a pressure close to where your maximum need is to see if avoiding pressure swings helps your sleep.

Re: big ahi change

The difference in numbers seems to be due to the clusters. Without the clusters, the sleep looks similar. Why are you limiting the maximum pressure? You are having too many obstructive related events because your treatment pressure is too low. Unless there is a very good reason to accept unnecessary...

Re: AHI ranging from 3 to 24 averaging 9. Doctor says it's fine

I will call my doctor's office and explain why I left, after I find a new doctor. Last night I slept 4.9 hours with an AHI of 16.6 and woke up with a splitting headache. I'm meeting with my CPAP supplier in the morning to hopefully navigate how to get an APAP that is covered by insurance. Thank you...

Re: AHI ranging from 3 to 24 averaging 9. Doctor says it's fine

Fire your doctor. Get a new doctor or start treating yourself. New machine must be full data; auto is preferred but not necessary. You need more pressure to address your obstructive sleep apnea - you are undertreated. Based on the data you show and your previous sleep studies, you probably don't hav...

Re: My First Graph!! AHI at 5.5 avg -2 year cpap user

THank you for your help. Should I change the pressure to 9.5 under STRAIGHT CPAP ? or just change the min. pressure (and keep it in Auto-Pap mode? I need to lookup how to do those changes to my machine- not quite sure how? Keep it in auto mode. The maximum pressure setting is not impeding you so yo...

Re: My First Graph!! AHI at 5.5 avg -2 year cpap user

Congratulations. Certainly understandable that you are feeling tired. You are still having a significant number of obstructive related events. Higher pressure is needed to address them. Your machine is set to auto mode and your minimum pressure is set to 9. Increasing the minimum pressure should hel...

Re: Full Face Mask AND Taping Mouth Shut?

Hello, I have been an on and off CPAP user for about 8 months. I was into a pretty good rhythm and noticed my weight went from 250 to 218 lbs and I was feeling really good and wondered if my apnea might be cured. The woman at the DME company said, instead of having another sleep test, I could set t...

Your data looks excellent. No apnea events. Did you feel well rested the next day?

Your event flags are turned off. Turn them on by clicking on the bottom left side where it says "Flags" with a down arrow.
Also turn off the "Daily Calendar" (top left under "View").

Go with APAP.
Even if positional therapy worked, he still needs PAP.

Re: Help with CAs

Pressure support. You mean EPR? Yes. The difference between Inhalation and exhalation pressure. Different machines call it different names (EPR, PS, FLEX, A-FLEX, C-FLEX, ). So why did you not use the standard EPR term as shown on my Sleepyhead screen?? Do you try to be confusing? The English langu...
