Re: AHI Under 1... still feeling terrible

Hey folks, new here. I've been diagnosed with Sleep Apnea and use a neck brace to keep my chin up, slumberbump to keep me from being on my back, MAD to move my jaw forward and CPAP with pressure 14. I'm 27, 6'2", 170. All of these things have helped, but I still have some nights of terrible sleep w...

Re: Morning burping

This could be a sign that your pressure is too high. Tell your doctor and ask him to lower it. Um....no? You dont just tell your doctor a symptom and then tell them how to treat it. If you want to get a doctor involved you tell them your symptom and have a discussion about whether or not your press...

Re: Morning burping

My reply was mostly for the person making that suggestion.

For some people taking an anti gas pill before bed helps. I have not found it to help me much.

I did not mess around with my own pressure in the begining either.

Re: Morning burping

Normal. Though I dont usually burp. By the time I get up and take my mask off the air is too far down in my system to come back up that way. lol. So I fart for a few hours. Not every morning.....but it does happen from time to time.

Re: Freaked out by GOOD numbers?

I have it all in sleepyhead now. I wish I had gotten a new machine many years ago. This thing is amazing. So much more quite, so much easier to breath like a real human being and clearly just producing much better results for me. Now I just have to work on the quantity of my sleep. The 3 year old is...

Re: Could do with a bit of moral support/commiseration

It took a while for me to get used to things when I started 12 years ago. But after a while it got to a point where for the first time I could lay down and just.....fall asleep! Your brain does some funny things. My doctor figured that the chronic insomnia and problems falling asleep were my brain t...

Freaked out by GOOD numbers?

I might be going crazy. I have had my S8 elite for 12 years. Set anywhere from 14 to 18 depending on the year and what was needed to keep my AHI under 5. It was still not always under 5. My average has been about 4. Not too bad. But that has been my normal. Got the Airsense autoset 10 for her....sta...

Re: Sound sleep flowchart cont…..

Oh dear god..... GROW UP!!!!! Do you even realize what a whiny little baby you sound like? After calling others "snowflakes"? Pugsy is here helping others. ACTUALLY helping others. You? You are just flinging insults and acting like a spoiled 2 year old. Either grow the hell up.....or kindly take you...

Re: What will happen if I didn’t use Cpap for 2 weeks

I would try to buy a used machine for cheap and use it as a backup for trips like this. I fully understand not wanting to risk losing your cpap long term during a short term trip.

Re: Possible Flowchart to Sound Sleep Success

"I have a job" "I have a job" "I have a job" "by golly, I have job". Are you sure? Because people who feel the need to try to convince others so intensely are usually liars. Do you want a pat on the back for doing what most of us adults have been doing since we were old enough to drive? What any of ...

Re: Possible Flowchart to Sound Sleep Success

It turned ugly so quickly. As threads often do when they are not dealing with a specific question. If you are posting data for new users, you need to make it very generic and not limit it to one type of mask. We all choose the mask that works the best or us. I, like many people, cannot use a nasal ...

Re: Possible Flowchart to Sound Sleep Success

It's Stone Mountain in GA and so well doesn't like the carving. Google it if you morons don't know anything about it. Stone Mountain was once owned by the Venable Brothers and was the site of the founding of the second Ku Klux Klan in 1915. ... The revival of the Ku Klux Klan was emboldened by the ...

Re: Possible Flowchart to Sound Sleep Success

Jennmary - just a tip – a soft cervical collar (do forum search for pix) to help keep your head up, airway open and mouth closed is not the same thing as what you'd wear for e.g. whiplash... much less 'dangerous' or problematic and many here do wear them with good results... I like your note otherw...

Re: Inconsistent use of CPAP

I don't snore. Never have. Yet I still managed to stop breathing 102 times an hour at my last sleep study. The goal is not to stop snoring. The goal is to stop apneas. It is also not smart to trade in your cpap for a cervical neck collar because you think it makes you feel like you got a "great" nig...
