Re: Failed sleep study after 14 years on the hose

I'm the opposite. My original sleep study was 15 years ago. I requested another in November and it indsicated that I no longer needed the CPAP. The AHI was 4.8. I told my doctor that I was more comfortable sleeping with the CPAP. Sh said I could do what I wanted. I go back to see her in 2 months to ...

Re: Figures in colored bars under AHI OSCAR

If total time in apnea is not the time you are not breathing then what is the purpose of total time in apnea? Link to figures within color coded bars: https://imgur.com/a/EjyHS8C AHI indicates the number of individual apneas...it doesn't tell you how long each apnea was. They could have been 10 sec...

Re: Upgrading The Defunct Resmed 2G/3G Modems

Aside from being able to possibly using MyAir and transmitting data to the doctor, what would be the purpose of adding a modem? After years of use, I don't see any reason to connect to the doctor and MyAir was developed mainly for new users to follow their progress.

The holes are there to exhaust your CO2. All masks have some exhaust holes. Some are more obvious than others. The masks are not defective.

Re: Need help!

Most people get some centrals from time to time. It's no big deal......Do you know what a Central Apnea is? How many are you getting? What is your AHI? I have been on CPAP for 15 years and still get several centrals during the night. My average AHI is 2+.

Re: AirSense 11 AutoSet arrived, a few questions

The blue snowflake indicates that the humidifier is cooling. At the same time, the fan is running at a very low speed to help the cooling. You can feel the air blowing out the tube for about 20 minutes after you turn off the machine. A heated tube is important if you are getting rainout (water in th...

Re: Airsense 10 heat plate

Depends on how high you have the humidity set. The higher the setting, the hotter the plate. It's the hot plate that makes the humidity.
