Yeah, this polling system limits to 10 choices, so I couldn't add everything or an "other." Wish it didn't have that limitation.

How did you know something was wrong?
My wife insisted I see my doctor after she woke up during the night and noticed I wasn't breathing--it scared her, she thought I'd died! Wondering what prompted other folks here to go to the doc, leading to a sleep study and sleep apnea diagnosis. http://a1149861.sites.myregisteredsite.com/sleepstu...

Re: Use fine filters!
My Icon auto vpap only has one filter! Has anyone tried inline filters? Does that work even with heated tubes? (they have a projection for the heating coils to connect to the plug in the base) Thanks, Never tried the inline filter with my APAP, due to this from cpap.com-- Auto Adjusting CPAP Machin...

CPAP Guardian
Does anyone know anything about this? Was new to me, sounds like it might [NOT] have merit (?)

Re: Vision & CPAP
Leading Medical Specialists From Around the World Coalesce Around Self-Tonometry Ultimately, I think we'll need to be able to monitor this at home, as we do with xPAP data and with pulse/oximeters. This organization, International Society for Self-Tonometry (ISST), seems to be working toward this e...

Be Careful at Your Sleep Center
Saw this on another forum--never heard of this before, so wondering if anyone knows if this is a real concern-- Just heard from a sleep tech that her sleep center, located within a highly prestigious hospital in one of America's largest and most affluent metropolitan centers, fills patients humidif...

I use my APAP in auto mode, range from 14-18, so none of the choices really fit.

Re: Vision & CPAP
After reading the study and doing some additional googling, I called a friend with OSA and asked if her eye doctor knew she had OSA and if he had ever discussed with her the increased incidence of Glaucoma in OSA patients. She said he had mentioned it and that he checked her pressure at annual appo...

Re: Use fine filters!
Hmm. You might be correct. For now, I'm going to stay with the 79 cents each when ordering 50 filters. That's less than $2/month, so pretty affordable.

Re: Use fine filters!
What will you breathe the 2/3 of your day that you aren't on CPAP? Hold your breath? Good point! But, at least with the fine filters, much less dirt is building up day after day, month after month, year after year, inside your CPAP machine. I think the fine filters probably help to extend machine l...

Re: Vision & CPAP
Thanks, Rip for posting the article. In the post, Long-term Effects, Lizitired bought up the link in reference to my concern about glaucoma and corneal dryness from the CPAP. It's interesting that these Belgian researchers recommend visual fields, plus the usual eye pressure (IOP) testing and looki...
