Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.
Well, since we're telling stories here, I'll toss my story out as well. First, if I hadn't found this forum, learned about data from my machine (I started with an S8 Elite, fully data capable, but didn't know how to retrieve it—my RT told me that ONLY DME's and clinics could purchase the software!!...

Re: Mask Issues?
It's really a matter of personal choice/fit/comfort when it comes to the "best" mask, Mary. I use/love my Ultra Mirage Full Face Mask. Good luck in your mask quest! We've all been there (I have a drawer full of masks I tried during my first 6 months with APAP). http://a1149861.sites.myregisteredsit...

Re: Mask Issues?
Can anyone recommend a solution this problem such as a mask that seems to work well with this device... Hi, The UN high commissioner on refugees classifies the Quattro as a torture device . The best solution might be to find a different mask. Your DME should have a large selection to pick from. I'd...

Re: Mask Issues?
In my quest to find the right mask for me, I tried the Quattro and had the same issue--it just didn't seem to fit me. Finally settled on another mask (Ultra Mirage FFM).

Vision & CPAP
Continuous Positive Airway Pressure Therapy Is Associated with an Increase in Intraocular Pressure in Obstructive Sleep Apnea PURPOSE. Re: Use fine filters!
I get my fine filters from this website--about 79 cents each (I order the 50 pack that last about 2 years changing them every weeks)-- http://www.cpapfiltersandsupplies.com/details.php?id=351&path=1_29 And, here's their micron size chart-- http://www.cpapfiltersandsupplies.com/particle_chart.pdf ht...

Re: Possible CPAP Improvements
How about an Ethernet port with a Web based interface for monitoring data real time and to be able to run a Diag on the machine itself. Just like say a router interface. Make it so you can browse to it via PC on your home network. Also if you really wanted to with an internet connection, be able to...

Use fine filters!
Just a suggestion--I think all should use a fine filter on their CPAP in addition to the foam filter. I change my fine filter/wash the foam filter every 2 weeks. I am amazed to see how dirty the fine filter gets--dirt that would otherwise enter my machine, not to mention entering my mask. http://a1...

Re: CPAPAuction shutting down?
7 The number of mask purchases i have made on cpapauction.com in my quest to find the one. i don't recall ever spending over $50 on a single mask. cpapauction.com made monkeying around with masks so much more affordable it was one of the key factors for me in dialing in my therapy. Yes, the auction...

Re: CPAPAuction shutting down?
Yep, a sad day indeed! Purchased much at the cpapauction over the years, great place to get deals on masks, machines and other CPAP stuff. Sold there, too! I, too, am so curious, wondering why the site shut down so suddenly, with no notice, no explanation. Maybe Johnny will let us know, if he can. ...
