With your new Activa mask, some suggestions: 1. I wouldn't take the mask apart to clean it, it can be difficult to get the cushion snapped back in place correctly on the main shell (causes a large leak), easier to just remove the headgear using the clips, fill a sink with the hottest water you can r...

The AutoScan software for the Resmed machines is horrible in my opinion, worse than EncorePro, worse than Puritian Bennet Silverlining (I have all 3). The Resmed machines do give you basic AHI data right from the LCD where others don't. The only data supplied with the Autoscan is Pressure used (hard...

I agree with RG, not to make light of your diagnosis, but I think your titration study may be somehow skewed either due to an inexperienced lab tech, faulty equipment or other reason in order to come up with that low a pressure. Maybe its right, but I'd certainly question it. The reason is your pres...

CPAP is not going to cure your problem, I suggest you also see a GI specialist. The condition is called GERD or Acid Reflux, with the amount of food regurgitation/vomit your reporting, it would seem your LES (Lower Esophagal Spincter valve) may be damaged. Normally, the LES would normally prevent fo...

if those numbers are consistent over several nights I agree with Bill, the FF is probably pushing the mandible back causing more events or your getting more leaks, possibly a bit of both.

How do you feel the next day? I'd stick with the one you feel better with.

4cm is the minimum or lowest pressure the machine will deliver. This is usually too low for most people (you may feel like your starving for air). It will go higher as you need it automatically but you should be asleep when that happens. The "Settling" feature means the machine will NOT respond to e...
