Re: Respironics DreamWear mask questions

We can try tightening the straps a bit. And maybe the larger cushion. Don't think a smaller frame would work. As far as diffusing the air vent -- -- First, I appreciate the info about the CO2 exhaust - I didn't realize that was the purpose, because I get a constant stream of air out of there. Though...

Mask for a side sleeper?

I'm getting my first machine and mask this Friday. A friend showed me his mask - the Respironics Amara View. I liked it because of the soft nasal opening, and the mouth covering because I get stuffy. What I'm not sure of is the side buckles. I will sleep on my side - often halfway between side and s...

Respironics DreamWear mask questions

My wife is using the Respironics DreamWear mask. She's had it for about 2 weeks or so - it was recommended to her by our daughter. (Her first mask was something with nasal pillows, and it killed her nose terribly!) The hose on top vs out the nose seems to work better, too. We've got two issues so fa...

Re: New to CPAP (introduction)

Sorry for any confusion. The machine will be the AirSense 10 Elite.
I know this machine sends data to the DME provider, and records on SD card.
Can I tap that data stream? Or read the SD card?
*And* make sense of what I'm looking at??

Re: New to CPAP (introduction)

Thanks for the responses! I'm in the lower parts of Arizona, so not much humidity most of the year. Haven't tried the nose rinses - not much luck withmost allergy meds. Since I'm new to all of this, I'll stick with the basic machine until I learn more. Heck - I just had a snoring problem - wasn't in...

New to CPAP (introduction)

Brand-new to the world of CPAP. My wife has had her machine for about 2 weeks; I’ll get mine next week. She’s been having sleep issues for some time, so she had a sleep study and was told she had a mild apnea - equal to being woke up about every 4 minutes. I know I snore - my kids used to tell stori...
