Re: S11 vs S10
I don't see any other major benefit to me of the S11, am i missing something? Not that I can see since you don't need or want the for Her mode that is available on the AirSense 11 models. Any thoughts on the difference between S10/S11 and which one I should get? You will likely get wide range of op...

Re: New to Oscar - hoping someone can help analyze my data
As expected....nothing of great excitement showing up on those reports. Nothing just screams out "this cause a wake up". When you have time take a look here and review the graphs and format of the reports that we like to see. http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t158560/How-to-post-images-for-review.ht...

Re: New to Oscar - hoping someone can help analyze my data
thank you! curious if you see anything abnormal about my data / that could be causing waking up a lot? I don't download stuff so I couldn't see your images. Now if you post a link to an actual image then I would look. But in general we can't see wake ups or the whys behind the wake ups unless there...

Re: New to Oscar - hoping someone can help analyze my data
I have noticed central apneas / clear airways which I didn't know I had (I was told during my sleep studies I only have OSA) - is it common to see a couple of those in Oscar? Yes. It's normal to see occasional central flags. Some might be a real asleep central and some might be awake/arousal relate...

Re: ResMed Autoset 11 Settings Optimization
So I am wondering if I should try going back to 4 and cap it at 10 or something, Sleep...primary goal....aerophagia messes with sleep and that's bad news. What we have to try to figure out it settings that do a decent job preventing your airway collapses AND don't open the door for the aerophagia m...

Re: Does Resmed have a heated tube with O2 injection port
Pugsy I have that hose for my AirCurve 10 and have been using them for years. That hose doesn't work on my wife's AirSense 11. That is why I am looking for an equivalent hose for the 11. I know that. My post with the link wasn't directed at you. It was directed at the other guy who said I don't kno...

Re: making adjustments
Don't we agree that you have to be asleep to have OA's? *Real* OA's? My point is that you don't have to be asleep to have real CA's. If we aren't asleep then it's not sleep apnea. Gotta be asleep to have sleep apnea. The machine doesn't measure sleep status....you know that. The machine only measur...

Re: making adjustments
Would you suggest I just ignore the centrals until my brain is more accepting of the CPAP and I get the rainout under control? Or are the centrals contributing to my brain being unsettled? Or is it a coin toss? The machine says my AHI is 4, but they are mostly centrals. Even if every single flagged...

Re: Does Resmed have a heated tube with O2 injection port
You have to buy an adapter. I don't know of one that continues the electrical connection. If I ever need one for my AS10 I'll just drill a hole in the right-angle piece and add a home depot barb! In case you ever need to add O2 and don't want to jerry rig things... Adapters aren't needed for this o...

Re: Does Resmed have a heated tube with O2 injection port
ResMed will eventually release the AirSense/AirCurve 11 heated hose with the oxygen port like they have with the AirSense 10 models. Just be patient. You probably have forgotten but back when the AirSense/AirCurve 10 models were released the heated hose with oxygen port wasn't available for several ...

Re: ResMed Autoset 11 Settings Optimization
BTW.....just because someone else out there in the world using cpap has a problem with "auto ramp"....that doesn't mean that everyone else in the rest of the world will have the same problem. Don't assume that you will have the same problem with anything. And I am not a big fan of auto ramp but not ...

Re: ResMed Autoset 11 Settings Optimization
I was under the impression that if it was set to min 4 pressure with EPR 3 it would activate once the pressure starts increasing upwards, The machine can't ever go below 4 cm even with EPR set to 3. You have to be using 7 cm to get the FULL benefit of EPR but you still get a little reduction as the...

Re: making adjustments
We're gonna have to agree to disagree Pugsy... you need to be asleep to have OA's or H's. We are going to do more than just disagree. Do you have documentation proving what you are asserting? Hmmmm....then I wonder why I have OAs and hyponeas when I am obviously not asleep. Circled in red is the as...

Re: making adjustments
Does anybody really know why a person would have no centrals in a sleep study and then have primarily centrals while on CPAP? For some people cpap therapy actually can trigger the unstable breathing that ends up with someone having more than a few centrals (it is normal to have an occasional centra...

Re: making adjustments
Hold your breath for 15 seconds. That's essentially what a central apnea of 15 second duration is. The airway is open but no air is moving because there is no effort to breathe. That's a central apnea. We pause our breathing all the time while awake and don't realize it. The machine can and will fla...
