Thank you, Pugsy, for your response to my question.
I did not get around to reviewing all 101 posts before asking the question. It just seemed to be an anomaly to have such a setting with an APAP, but you
have explained the 'why' and I appreciate it in this instance.

Re: Too much pressure?
What kind of work does OP do? He should consider running some overnight pulse oximeter tests. If those are ok, he needs to look elsewhere because it otherwise appears the therapy is definitely working. Not exactly; I feel like shit today. That's why I wasn't excited about such a low score; I know f...

Re: Help- question-sleep apnea test
You need to sleep during the test. Plain and simple.
Do whatever is necessary, including Ambien, tranqs, etc.

Re: Puzzling decline in therapy quality
Haven't noticed discussion of the possibility that OP is hypoxic, other than his own comments about desats being in the 70's before CPAP. That is seriously low. So, unless I am missing something and unless OP is on supplemental nighttime oxygen, suggest that he do his own overnight pulse oximeter st...

Re: Puzzling decline in therapy quality
For future reference, instead of posting screenshots on the forum, you can just post the links to your reports like so - http://i.imgur.com/ldVcytY.jpg They are easier to read in imgur and then your thread doesn't get so long. I have to disagree. It was 'refreshing' to have those graphs in front of...

Re: AHI staying below 4, but desats below 90 most nights
Eagerly await your update, OP! I can say that if you feel lousy, like I did, with low desats, that that may be a contributory factor. Your average sats look great! But apparently the minimum desats are controlling. If rare occurrence, that is one thing. But in your case, it seems to me imperative to...

Re: AHI staying below 4, but desats below 90 most nights
PR or anyone- In other than bilevel , A-flex, etc, is EPR but I don't think it's referred to as 'pressure support' because it's not added to epap pressure to determine inhalation pressure. Or, can one assume that at an EPR of '0' there is an exhalation pressure equal to that of the set inhalation pr...
