Re: Sleepyhead first use - overview of my stats
You've averaging under two hours per night. You should be sleeping from seven to nine hours per night, with the machine engaged and attached the entire time. Barring that, you should use the machine for four hours per night to be "compliant" from an insurance point of view. I will review the links ...

Sleepyhead first use - overview of my stats
Well, Sleepyhead did work with no problems for my BiPAP machine. Sleepyhead 1.JPG [/img][/img][/img][/img][/img] Posted here is the overview. To my untrained eye the figures that leap out ar the AHI/HI index, which at a total of around 5 would seem to bear out the consultant's assertion that my slee...

Re: Card Reader for Philip Respironics SD card
Am in the UK. My machine is a BiPAP S/T C series INTL 30. It also states "REF: 10611" on the back. Thanks for the heads up about Sleepyhead. I think I still have a copy of Encore Pro soimewhere. Anyway I need a card readaer either way. Still not totally clear exactly what size - unless anyone can co...

RX pressure and how to determine it
Filling out my Sleepyhead profile, I am not sure how important this data is for successful use of the software, but I want to fill it out properly.
What is RX pressure and how do I determine it?

Card Reader for Philip Respironics SD card
I am using a Philips Respironics BiPAP S/T C series machine.
I would like to use Sleepyhead to get some feedback on my data.
I of course need a card reader to get the data to my machine.
can anyone recommend a suitable reader, please? What type of data card does this machine use?

Re: Asthma and sleep apnea
Thanks for the replies. I have done a bit of research on exertional dyspnea. I do not believe I have it - my attacks are more related to environmental triggers. I am not sure what pressures are as my machine settings are locked by the sleep nurse at the NHS hospital. I think the next step for me, CP...

Asthma and sleep apnea
I use BiPAP and have complex sleep apnea. I am starting to suspect I also have asthma. My doctor gave me a very low-tech device( I think it's called a spirometer) to blow into. It was literally a plastic tube. I bashed the gauge up to or very near the end every time. However, I did not feel breathle...

Re: Flu and CPAP - waking struggling badly for breath
Most of us here, use software to actually see how our sleep apnea is treated instead of just guessing. That's what you need to do also. Really you should be consulting a doctor, you could find yourself with pneumonia. Jim Thanks for the replies. I have consulted a doctor three times during this epi...

Flu and CPAP - waking struggling badly for breath
I am posting on the board for the first time in many years. I now know I have complex sleep apnoea and Periodic Limb Movement. The apnoea is quite well treated with BiPAP, after CPAp did not do the job. However I still have 17 PLM events per hour according to an inpatient sleep study, plus 4-5 cause...

BiPAP broke down last night - worried
I use a BiPAP machine. Last night it broke down and I had to sleep without it. I think dust has got in. It seems there is no way I can get a replacement before tomorrow. Everything is closed at weekends. I am extra worried as I am in benzodiazpeine withdrawal. Any survival tips much appreciated. hav...
