Either the previous user smoked, or you're running the humidifier dry.

Add a few drops of mouthwash to the RINSE water.
---You do own mouthwash?

Why would either of those have any effect *after removing the mask*?

Did your brilliant mind not think that perhaps some smoker snuck into your house during the night and left the smoke smell OR perhaps there is a forest fire and the smoke and heat smell are drifting on the breeze???? Or, another thought, maybe your house is on fire and you had better get your brilliant ass out of there FAST
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.

So is it better to be a "real peach" or a "libtard" ?

Only those with an open mind and the ability to accept new information into that mind can be helped. Those that are closed minded, arrogant, stubborn and overly sure of their own superiority cannot be helped here or anywhere else.

If his needing help was all that was going on here, it would be easy to just ignore him. Unfortunately, he thinks he is smarter than he is and frequently gives out really WRONG information. Even when people prove him wrong, he won't acknowledge it.

The whole "ASV is pretty basically the same as the Trilogy AVAPS" is a result of him misunderstanding what he reads and refusing to listen to people that really do understand it. Somebody new coming in could get themselves into a real fix if they believe him and end up on the wrong machine for their condition.

All we can hope is new people will see him for who/what he is and ignore him. I fear somebody might follow some of his inaccurate information and cause themselves real harm. It scares the hell out of me.

Any odor that becomes apparent after the mask is removed is probably an ambient odor in the room. The filter is eliminating the odor (from the air that you breathe) while you're using the machine. When you remove the mask the odor becomes very noticeable.

I'd rather be a Real Peach, even with a worm, they can be sweet, Libturds, can never be Sweet, they don't have any Sweet Genes. Jim

My first machine had a burn odor like you get when you run the humidifier dry but it had never run dry when I had it. The odor never went away. I ended up returning that machine and buying one from a member on this forum. That one smelled good.
