New Mask from ResMed

Post by Pad A Cheek » Thu Sep 13, 2018 9:14 am

I may be late to the show, but has anyone actually seen the new mask from ResMed? Is is the AirFit F30 and it is similar to the DreamWear Full Face mask except for the tubes up the sides at least from the photo.

Here is the link to their press release: http://investors.resmed.com/investor-re ... fault.aspx

I do not yet have a sample of the mask to begin the design work but will do that when I am able to. Stay tuned.

Karen

I read only 2 sizes.
Like the Amara, I speculate that neither is frog-size.
Oh, well.
Happy with my p10, but if they want to improve that one, I'm game.

And how would you expect them to cover your nostrils while keeping the mask off the top of your nose?

Since I currently alternate nightly between the DW & AF F20 FFM its a safe bet I'll purchase one or two the instant our forum sponsor lists/advertises them.

I alternate the same way, and I am also very interested in picking up one of these masks.

This should be just a cushion needed if you already have a airfit f20?

I run sans supplemental/aftermarket cushions so unless this setup for me creates some as yet unforeseen need I'll be running it identically to my current masks....ie; right outta the box. I'm doubtful the cushion from the F30 could be adapted or fit to the F20 due to strap/headgear arrangement. Additionally I suspect ResMed has likely considered this and systematically precluded its eventuality

Well I hope the cushions are sized different than the F20. I have a F20 with a Large(to big) and a Medium(to small), need one right in the middle for a perfect fit...

oh yeah, you can see the frame is different than the f20, so no snapping the new cushion in the f20 frame.

HAHA i'm in the same situation with my f20 . I went with the med, but frequently think about getting a large cushion just to see if I made the right choice....

I wish the F20 worked for me. It really hurts my nose with any size cushion, even though they claim the design should avoid such pain. For whatever reason the DreamWear FFM just doesn’t work at all for me.

I didn't see any info about memory foam in this new one.. but if it only connects from below maybe I wont have the leak issues like i had on top and side before memory foam....

Yeah, they say it fits 93% of people with just two sizes, leaving nearly 1 out of 10 people completely out of luck :-(
