I've never claimed to be an expert. I can only give advice related to my personal experience.Loreena wrote:You've had your so-called sleep expert. You even posted her whole currcula vitae on this website. And yet you're back here. Whaddup with that?
pikov22 wrote:I get that. However, when a person is giving expert advice, I would like to know who that person is.JeffL wrote:I use my full name on some forums, but on those that deal with more personal topics, like medical issues, financial topics, and political positions, I use either an alias or my last name initial for privacy. I want Google searches on my name to link to other places.
Look at all the false and misleading statements being made every day by people in the news. And we know their names! :-0

Wow! That sounds just like the current FaceBook profile of the girlfriend I had in the 60's. I had to check your location.BlackSpinner wrote: I am a lesbian, feminist, pagan and politically a REAL socialist, not the American kind.
I'm glad she dumped me back then, because I'm straight, have non pagan deity theories, and I'm a very conservative capitalist.

Be careful, please, a big bear hug might squish our little Froggie!jnk wrote:Good point. But, well, she'd get a big bear hug from me at the convention either way. I mean, if government employees in Nebraska are allowed to hug.kaiasgram wrote:Ah, but how do we know that was really her?jnk wrote:Froggie once posted her picture in another thread, so it wouldn't disillusion me to meet her.
p.s., I lived in Lincoln, Nebraska for a while and if government employees are not allowed to hug, well, I may be retroactively in trouble.

I can't think of one good reason why I WOULD want the cyber world to know my real identity. Anyway, I can more easily behave badly if I'm anonymous.

It's none of anyone's business what my identity is on the internet - my employers know I have OSA and other illnesses so that's not an issue - it's a privacy issue.
If people don't like my anonymity on the forums I belong to, then that's their tough luck. I come here to learn, share what I've learned and hopefully help a few newbies along the way. I'm not here to socialise intimately with people on the internet except in the capacity of being a member of some forums, so there's no need for people to know my name.
Cheers,
xenablue
