I get that. However, when a person is giving expert advice, I would like to know who that person is.

Look at all the false and misleading statements being made every day by people in the news. And we know their names! :-0
I've never claimed to be an expert. I can only give advice related to my personal experience.

Wow! That sounds just like the current FaceBook profile of the girlfriend I had in the 60's. I had to check your location.
I'm glad she dumped me back then, because I'm straight, have non pagan deity theories, and I'm a very conservative capitalist.

Ah, but how do we know that was really her?
Good point. But, well, she'd get a big bear hug from me at the convention either way. I mean, if government employees in Nebraska are allowed to hug.
Be careful, please, a big bear hug might squish our little Froggie!

p.s., I lived in Lincoln, Nebraska for a while and if government employees are not allowed to hug, well, I may be retroactively in trouble.

I can't think of one good reason why I WOULD want the cyber world to know my real identity. Anyway, I can more easily behave badly if I'm anonymous.

I periodically disclose my real identity, as I have below, because I want to be taken seriously.

It's none of anyone's business what my identity is on the internet - my employers know I have OSA and other illnesses so that's not an issue - it's a privacy issue.

If people don't like my anonymity on the forums I belong to, then that's their tough luck. I come here to learn, share what I've learned and hopefully help a few newbies along the way. I'm not here to socialise intimately with people on the internet except in the capacity of being a member of some forums, so there's no need for people to know my name.

Cheers,
xenablue

Well, there was that flash mob of monkeys, chimpanzees, gorillas, etc. a while back.
