How do AHI numbers vary between Resmed and Respironics?

I'm still getting used to my airsense 10 after being on the 550P. The AHI numbers seem a little higher and I'm wondering if that has been the experience of others?

I'm not talking about a huge difference - from usually 0.5 or less on the 550P with the airsense being 0.9 - 1.2 or so. I haven't noticed a big difference in how rested I feel and I've started getting the data into sleepyhead although I haven't spent much time looking at it yet.

If you have used both brands of machines, did you notice much difference in the AHI numbers? I guess each brand of machine scores things a bit differently?

The definitions of events are slightly different between the brands and the algorithms of the 2 brands are different. So we wouldn't expect the AHI to be the same.

Hypopneas used to be. Was it so that ResMed's machines showed about doubled HI compared to Respironics' machines.
I think that changed with S9?

I sleep in different rooms and use the Resmed S9 Vpap in one room and the "regular" S9 in the other room. All things being equal, both machines give different results in leak rates, AHI etc... Even the same brand can give slightly different readings, so I would expect different brands to do the same.
