Dream Station Auto Humidifier Settings

Post by greyhound » Thu Oct 13, 2016 5:59 pm

I upgraded to a Dreamstation Auto a month ago. My DME set the humidifier mode to adaptive with a 3 humidification setting. Every night, it seems as if the humidifier has not used any water. I did test the humidifier with a fixed, humification 2 setting and a lot of water was used that night. My understanding is that the adaptive mode adjusts humidification based on room humidity. My bedroom's humidity has been running about 45%

Perhaps, coincidentally, I have had a sore throat which began one week after my CPAP upgrade. I may have gotten the sore throat from someone I visited at the time my symptoms began. Alternatively, it could have had something to do with a humidification problem.

I'd appreciate comments from anyone familiar with the Dreamstation's adaptive humidifier mode.
