no, you just set the clock on the machine directly, no need for anything to do with time zones.riderviv wrote:OK, so I'm using a ResMed AirSense 10 Autoset For Her. The humidifier is integrated within the device. There is no option (I just read through the entire owner's manual) for changing the time zone, etc.
Machine only says an hour and a half?

I wonder if Auto-on/off is activated, and if the pressure range runs very low.
If excessive leak triggered the machine to turn off, the low pressure might not be hard to tell from "off",
and better mask fit might turn the machine back on again.
Or maybe I am "all wet", which happens in my pond.

Remember, the original post says that the problem is with the stats, not with the machine actually being off (or appearing to be off).chunkyfrog wrote:I wonder if Auto-on/off is activated, and if the pressure range runs very low.

Re: Machine only says an hour and a half?
DH, the OP has almost the same machine as I have had for TWO YEARS.
When the auto ON/OFF function is used, one may not know if it has turned itself off, and back on.
The stats may actually reflect the machine being off--it is possible.
I am merely addressing that POSSIBILITY.

You're suggesting that the machine was actually off and the patient slept through the night with the mask on and didn't notice! I find that hard to believe!chunkyfrog wrote:DH, the OP has almost the same machine as I have had for TWO YEARS.

Re: Machine only says an hour and a half?
I slept an entire NIGHT with the machine OFF.
I WAS TOTALLY SOBER--JUST THAT TIRED.
IT CAN AND DOES HAPPEN.
Just maybe not to you--yet.
The S9 and Airsense machines are just that quiet.
You would be amazed.

I would notice the absence of pressure even if the machine were 100% silent (most current model CPAPs are very close to that).
BTW, the very first CPAP machines were so noisy that they would put them in another room and run a very long hose.
Re: Machine only says an hour and a half?
I have also slept with my mask on and machine off and quite comfortably.
I think a lot of it depends on the mask and how much air flow is managing to go in and out through the vent holes.
The times I have done slept with the machine off has been when the power went off...near as I can tell about 30 minutes and woke up because it was time to wake up.
I did do an experiment while awake to see just how long I could comfortably use the mask sealed...with no power.
I got bored at 45 minutes and stopped the experiment. It was fine and not uncomfortable at all.
BTW this was with Swift LT nasal pillows. Not so sure that would work so great with the P10 though.
Maybe one of these days I will try it.

DH: You just have never been that tired.
I had been WORKING VERY HARD, PHYSICAL LABOR all day and was exhausted.
I notice your machine is different from mine, and a bit noisier.
Look at the comparisons--Resmeds cost more for a reason.
Don't ASS-ume that your experience is universal. It is not.

Re: Machine only says an hour and a half?
How do you change the time zone or time on a ResMed 10 Autoset? Can't find it for looking in the clinical menu. I am in Calgary on vacation (7 hours behind UK), first two nights have reported just 1 hour and 50 mins usage, which is clearly incorrect.

Unless you are in the habit of sleeping late, not really necessary.
The clinicians manual has the instructions.
Request it from apneaboard.

I found date and time under 'configuration' but it won't let you set a time in the past.chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Tue Sep 18, 2018 10:32 amUnless you are in the habit of sleeping late, not really necessary.

It's not important enough to spend quality vacation time on, I know how long I'm sleeping, just thought there would be a quick fix.

With Resmed machines, you set the actual time. They do not rely on time zones. You need to make time changes after noon and before you log any usage for the night.

Re: Machine only says an hour and a half?
As your on holiday. I suggest NOT changing the time as it can cause issues changing back. It’s not an issue having split sleep sessions it all averages out in the endHannibal 2 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 18, 2018 12:00 pmThank you very much, I'll set it this evening in that caseOkie bipap wrote: ↑Tue Sep 18, 2018 11:28 amWith Resmed machines, you set the actual time.
