contact the cpap suppliers on amazon, they often do a new resmed auto for under 500 and a dreamstation for under 400, both with warranty. the resmed may be the better machine, because it reacts more to apnea. the dreamstation likes to have a smaller pressure range. I wouldn't pay much for secondhand without warranty, even though 1,000 hours is about 6 months use. There are years left in the machine.

Try a site like OFFER UP. I saw a nice machine on there with hardly any hours for $40! They had no idea what were selling

Hi cub4, I found one on CL for 250, had 900 hours. If u decide to get the one locally make sure it comes from a non smoking, pet free home. Good luck on your quest...

It all depends on where you are and your time frame. I bought two Autoset 10 from a DME guy on craigslist while I was still renting. The spare one with 970 hours was $150 and came with a new hose. First had 200 hours and cost $200. Took a couple months to get both. I know people ask a lot more for them. Persistence pays.
Seeing and believing are often both wrong. FOW
