I don't know that i "love" polls. I think responses to polls are great for a quick, snapshot view of a group of opinions on a topic. When I take time to answer one, I find that the exercise can help to focus my mind on just what my opinions are on the topic--it makes me stop and think a moment,instead of cruising on by.

I don't care one way or the other about polls. Some are actually fun or enlightening, depending on the subject.

Polls are ASSumed to be started out of honest curiosity.
Since honesty of respondents is variable, the results are usually worthless.
This only leaves ego as the motivation for starting and voting.
But if it makes you feel good, knock yourself out!
