Just a question for the "informed consumer" OP.
Would you seriously consider buying a dishwasher that required that you wash the dishes by hand first before loading them into the machine?

Aren't you required to buy a dog with the dishwasher purchase! Jim

Maybe a 40 foot rope, though.
It depends on the person as I wouldn't touch many conventional and alternative professionals with a 10-foot pole. Regarding chiropractors, a former co-worker had great success with one after unsuccessfully being treated by many doctors for back problems. But this woman knew her limits as when my co-worker had knee problems, she was referred to a doctor for further evaluation.

I knew someone else who had a disastrous experience with a chiropractor, causing permanent damage to her ankle.

Fortunately, I haven't been in a position where I was desperate to solve a problem like back pain. So I don't know if I would consult one or not.

Back on topic - Do not buy the so clean system.

If you are in the habit of taking money out of your wallet and tearing it up, then by all means buy one.

Springman, my bro was in the hospital last year. My bro's roommate (yeah, I was surprised that he had a shared room!) asked the nurse about getting his stuff sterilized because he didn't have his So Clean unit. The infectious disease guy, who is also a bacteriologist, told him that it was a waste of money. It did nothing that a simple wash with an antibacterial soap like Dawn wouldn't do. It DOES NOT STERILIZE anything despite its claims. Told him to buy Dawn or get that antibacterial concentrate.

I just looked at the "top" reviews on Amazon.
People are getting smarter, at least some . . .
Negative reviews contain facts and observations.
Positive reviews universally sound like cultspeak.
Do earplugs come with?
It certainly seems like they do.

You don't need earplugs if what's between them isn't capable of processing the message. Jim

Jim, what you say could be considered mean, however not inaccurate.

... it's at best worthless. Just so you know mine is not just a layman's opinion, I am a microbiologist with 25 years experience with sterilization and disinfection of equipment and facilities used in the production of sterile pharmaceuticals. Unfortunately, a good friend of mine bought one without consulting me. I haven't had the heart to tell him what I've said here but I have cautioned him that he still needs to clean his reservoir, hose, mask, and cushions at intervals, since ozone does not clean, and that it will damage his headgear and possibly cushions. If this were a medical device requiring FDA approval it never would have made it to the market.

This is interesting concerning CPAP related illnesses...

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3716664/

Measurements and Results:

Patient demographics were recorded and they were asked to fill out the chronic sinusitis survey (CSS) form. Patients then had their CPAP machines swabbed. An ANOVA was used to determine if the presence of microbacterial colonization was related to CSS scores. In total, 72 patients were included in the study. There was no significant difference in any of the scores between the group with positive cultures and the group without positive cultures.
Conclusions:

Having a positive culture in the CPAP reservoir does not seem to lead to an increased symptomatology of CRS: although the reservoirs often become colonized, there seems to be no clinical impact.

I believe "no clinical impact" means that we don't have to worry about these CPAP germs...
