Another First Timer
Just finished my fifth night and no real issue with using the machine. Slept 8-10 hrs each night and zero night trips
to the bathroom. The only real issue is the red splotches on my cheeks and chin. Looks like that is pretty common
among users. I have ordered a cover from Pad a Cheek so maybe that will help.

I don't have much experience with different masks. I would wonder if it's to tight or maybe sensitivity to material?

Thanks for your reply USMCVET and thanks for your service. USN vet here.
Almost two months now using cpap. I am on my third mask, a Resmed Airtouch F20 full face and continue having leaks. I have tried Pada cheek covers and now using RemZzzs covers but continue having leaks. Most nights I remove the mask vs trying to adjust it.
Has anyone found the sure proof fix for leaks?

Thanks for your reply LSAT. Yes I have watched some videos and had a personal fitting at home. Apparently everyone’s face is not conducive to having a perfect fit.

Did you start with the simplex, its still in your sig, and then move to others?
When I tested masks the simplex was the last I was shown and knew right away it was the one. I liked the minimal straps on my face and the 3 point connection.

Re: Another First Timer
My wife and I both tried the Air Touch F20 cushions. We both found the cushion would leak when our pressures got above 15 cm. We went back to the regular F20 cushion, and have had no problems with leaks. I have found I have less leaks with the F20 than I did with the Simplus.

Re: Another First Timer
Chartle and Okie bipap, thanks got your replies.
I started off with the Simplus, then a nasal and now the ResMed Airtouch F20 full face. I really like the foam on my face. The other one kept my face broken out and peeling. The leaks are less frequent but when I do have one the mask comes off.

Re: Another First Timer
Do you have any idea what causes the leaks? Figuring that out might help with addressing the leaks. For instance, if your hose tugs on the mask when changing positions, a hose hanger or other system to manage it could help. If your bed pillow pushes it out of place, a flat firm pillow helps me with that. As has hanging my face off the edge of the pillow. Congrats on getting of to a good start, and hopefully you'll be able to resolve the mask issues.
