Since 1996 the Division of Sleep Medicine at Harvard Medical School has been facilitating a seminar program called "Sleep Grand Rounds." The program is based at Boston's Brigham and Women's Hospital and features researchers and academicians from several institutions and focuses on research in sleep medicine. AFAIK, there are many ways individuals around the world can attend either in person or remotely - more information can be found at https://sleep.med.harvard.edu/what-we-d ... nd-rounds/ The presentations are often available as videos that can be found on line. The presentation that prompted the topic subject was given on 10/18/2017 and entitled "Reversing the Sleep Epidemic - The Key to getting a good night's sleep."
Charles A. Czeisler, PhD, MD was the presenter. While only an hour in length it contains a number of correlations between sleep and societal, medical, and physical issues that may not have been clear to many before.
