Automatic cpap cleaner

Post by Krp() » Wed Apr 11, 2018 12:06 pm

Hi,
I’m a longtime cpap user and am now considering purchasing an automatic cpap cleaner. I know there are different kinds now on the market. Was wondering what people experiences are with them?
Thank you!

Here we go again.
I am off to go buy more popcorn.

To the OP...there is no automatic "cleaner"...nothing that removes the physical crud that can accumulate on our equipment.
Now there are "sanitizers" but they don't clean and in fact all tell people to go ahead and wash to remove the physical crud.
So if you are wanting something to do your washing for you...there is no such thing.
If you are wanting to nuke the germs that might be remaining on your equipment after you wash the crud off manually...
do a forum search for "SoClean" and start reading.

You will quickly find that the majority of forum members don't use those devices because they don't feel the need to and some actually feel it's a total scare tactic scam.
Now there are some folks here that do use those devices and are quite happy with their decision. Each to their own...after all it's their money they are spending and not someone else's.

Thanks Pugsy, a very good explanation that we should all be satisfied with.

Now....I might could be bought but it would take a LOT more than 5 bucks to bribe me.

Besides...see...I told you guys...someone will keep bringing it to the front page anyway and sticky or not...they would still do it.
It wouldn't change a thing except what we would see would go something like this
"I read that sticky about the SoClean...what do you guys really think about it"

It's like the Chinese spammer dude...can't ever totally kill him off.

I think it must be a lost art.
Or people just want to be spoon fed information....and not do the work.
Or they do search and get this and get overwhelmed.
search.php?keywords=SoClean

I actually will give the newbies (like this one in this thread) a break though. Maybe just overlooked the search box being new to the forum and all.

I found that Philips Respirontics allows weekly cleaning the non fabric parts of the Dreamwear mask(s) in the dishwasher top rack with the drying cycle off. I also clean the Airsense 10 water chamber that way.
Do other manufacturers allow dishwashers?

Unscented baby wipes when needed.
Sometimes I wipe my FACE first. Good for my skin!
Dish drops and hot water when the tank needs it.
Science already has proven that soap and hot water removes 99.99% of all germs.
More than that--you need an autoclave.
Who do you trust?
Your own hands and a little effort or scam artists who like to scare you?

This is compliments of PUGSY from a thread just the other day:

After Pugsy's post in THIS thread, any post pertaining to an automatic cpap cleaner was one too many.

What makes anyone think that krp is anything more than a shill for a certain non-medical device maker?
