dream machine issues
dream machine issues
I have had this machine for two nights. I cleaned it after first use and when trying to use it the second night it continuously blew out air throw the nose piece. Non stop air. I could not use it. I trouble shot it and it checked out fine. Anyone Know what might me wrong?
Re: dream machine issues
What machine are you using? Also the point of these machines is continuous air flow ... What is the issue? Sounds like normal operation to me, or is it a leak issue?

Would you rather suffocate to death because there isn't a continuous flow of fresh air?
Constant air venting is the way it works.

The machine will make a lot of air flow until you put on the mask, then the pressure will be met and the flow will slow down. I usually put on my mask first and then turn the machine on. If the pressure is uncomfortable at first, set up the ramp to start at a lower pressure and ramp up over a minute or two.

Re: dream machine issues
Are you talking about the air that is discharged through the exhaust ports in the mask..or ..are you talking about the DREAMSTATION machine itself? All masks have ports that release the CO2 from your breathing. You would suffocate if the CO2 was not exited.

Re: dream machine issues
If all fittings are properly assembled, the only blowing air should be from the exhaust port near the mask. You must breath exhaust air out of your lungs, and that air must go someplace. It follows the air that the machine blows constantly which must exit from the vent near your mask. That is normal. It sounds noisier when your mask is askew or off entirely because the machine ramps up its volume of air to compensate for what it thinks is a leak...which when the mask is askew or off it surely is.
Re: dream machine issues
I suspect that you did not re-assemble the mask correctly.
