Average pressure dropping during weight loss
My S/H average pressure is dropping during weight loss. Could there be a connection?

Can you provide some data?MurrayNevada wrote: ↑Mon Oct 15, 2018 9:24 amMy S/H average pressure is dropping during weight loss. Could there be a connection?

For some, pressure needs are lower with weight loss.MurrayNevada wrote: ↑Mon Oct 15, 2018 9:24 amMy S/H average pressure is dropping during weight loss. Could there be a connection?
For others, pressure needs do not change during weight loss.
For still others, pressure needs increase during weight loss.
Eat healthy. Exercise healthy. Be healthy. Many aspects of life can affect pressure needs and preferences. Thus the beauty of well-set APAPs.

Re: Average pressure dropping during weight loss
Well, yeah, for a lot of people, weight loss and weight gain changes their pressure needs. For some, not at all. Hence the need for DATA. ChicagoGranny, your chart image is GREAT but remember that just because the data seem related could just mean it is coincidental. They really stressed that in scientific sadistics...er...statistics.

Sometimes I am paid by the word.zonker wrote: ↑Mon Oct 15, 2018 10:55 amno, he gets paid by the word.
Other times I am paid just to show up and wave.
Yet other times, I am not paid at all.
Statistical relationship only matters across population. The question asked by the OP was about specific relationship in one specific instance, which is a completely unrelated question to statistical relationships. The OP pressure changes having a connection to OP weight loss is not answered by any data correlations of other people's experiences. Thus, I do not find the chart applicable. OP may be an exception to the norm, as most of us here are.
Hey, just me.

Re: Average pressure dropping during weight loss
You missed the point. Without data, we don't even know what correlation Murray is seeing. Did he lose 100 lbs and his average pressure dropped to 10.4 from 10.6? Or did he lose 5 lbs and his average pressure dropped to 6.0 from 14.5? Or was it something else?
Many times here can be seen people whose AHI increases to, say, 1.2 from 0.8, and they are alarmed at a "big AHI increase".
Re: Average pressure dropping during weight loss
Yeah, but "average pressure" is already a sort of mean. So, yeah.
Good question by OP.
I appreciate your posts, Gran.
Let's see, how many words is that for me today so far . . . brb . . .

Thankfully, I find that if I keep my false modesty sufficiently honed, I never have to develop any actual modesty.

Not that I know what any of that means.
Off to look for another thread to hijack by making it all about me.
