Looks like they looked at the dreamwear and said "hmm... we can do better"

Nice! It looks like the nasal cushion might have more stability than the Dreamwear, and be less easily dislodged when you move. It also appears to have a diffused venting. Thanks for posting.

I like the marketing angle "sleep closer to your bed partner".

:)

...with the exception of just a few days for the first mask I was given (eson nasal rock hard awful torture thing) ... my only experience has been with the dreamwear.

I *KNEW* immediately and instinctively that I could not give up the top of the head design and freedom from 'my perception' of the "weight" of the tube ... like an elephant nose pulling and hanging and tangling in front of me.

I never realized part of the reason might be "the spooning"?

... but they're right! So so so RIGHT! OMG ... How could you fit in tight with that nose hose? Another reason to be thankful for my dreamwear.

I love good marketing! Particularly if it's backed up with a good product.

I hope I can try this mask
Thanks for sharing Palerider.
Began XPAP May 2016. Autoset Pressure min. 8 / max 15. Ramp off. ERP set at 2. No humidity. Sleepyhead software installed and being looked at daily, though only beginning to understand the data.

Interesting. I wish I could use them, apparently for me at the moment it's not p possible. Looks a lot more comfortable than my F20.

My take on the design:
1) It seems slimmer/sleeker than DW - lower profile
2) Like DW it seems it could accommodate any of a series of optional interfaces: FF, nasal cushion, pillows, or yet to be developed future type
3) Does the corrugation in the tubing leading from the inlet elbow to the interface imply greater flexibility in sizing of frame compared to DW?

Addendum: Please note https://rtsleepworld.com/2018/10/25/a-s ... rfit-n30i/ The first paragraph shows current release in Canada & France - no date for USA.
User guide https://pages.resmed.com/rs/241-RXK-073 ... er_eng.pdf shows a wide range of cushion sizes and two sizes of frames.

It is interesting they are using the nasal design of the Amara View rather than the P10 pronged approach.
I could not get the Amara View to seal on my nose, personally.

Given that the design seems to allow the potential use of various interface types, I suspect the first released was chosen as a direct comparison to the initial DW style providing a one to one comparison of features and benefits.

I like my Dreamwear. This looks interesting, but I'm going to be curious as to what the pricing will be when ResMed expands the distribution from just France and Canada. Right now, I can get the Dreamwear pretty cheap through alternate dealers. So even if the advertised minimum price turns out to be similar to Dreamwear there's a good chance the Dreamwear will still be a lot cheaper for me.

P10 pronged
The P10 is *pillows* not "prongs".

THESE are prongs:

If it vents better than the Dreamwear, I'm in for one.

At FOUR sizes, there might be one for ME!
The smallest Dreamwear is too freakin' BIG for me!

I must speak to my DME . . .

I see where ResMed has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against F&P over alleged design copy.

Does ANYONE not see the new N30i as a direct copy of the Phillips Dreamwear Nasal? Even down the the arrows on the cushion and headgear that must be aligned to fit together properly.

I will be surprised if the patent lawsuit isn't in the works already.

BUT, I want one. This looks like it might address a couple things about the Dreamwear that I didn't like.

I wish I had a way of getting one in the US!

More sizes and unique attachment shape might get resmed off the hook.
Resmed also tends to use softer silicone.
Only 15% variation is needed to skirt infringement---from what I hear . . .
Close examination should reveal enough change to get by--
especially if the changes are IMPROVEMENTS.
Manufacturers often hold back improvements from the first release in order to
garner additional sales later on.
Totally legit to beat them at their own dirty game!
