In November I had an overnight sleep study to see if a dental appliance would work to treat my sleep apnea (mixed) =
Apparently, NOT !!!! My AHI was much higher the night I tried the oral appliance compared to when I was first diagnosed. . .
So, for now I will stick to my ASV - but recently my humidifier on my ASV stopped working and from what I understand they probably won't replace the humidifier (because of being an older model) and give me a new ASV to use.
I decided to ask to see if they could let me try a ResMed instead of Respironics, so I have another Sleep Study scheduled for Monday Night Jan. 7th - where I will try both devices and see which one works better for me -
the biggest challenge for me is to be able to actually sleep in the sleep lab with all the wires hooked up to me . . .
