Tip on first follow up appointment after starting CPAP

Post by Highlander » Fri Feb 01, 2019 12:55 am

Next week will be my first follow up apt since starting CPAP over a month ago. I have been using sleepyhead with as card to see exactly what is going on each night. My AHI has been under 5 and I do feel better but I am still waking up like I used to in the middle of the night. The difference now is that I no longer wake up as stressed when that happens which helps me fall back asleep. I am still pretty tired during the day but no longer anxious and depressed in the morning like I used to feel. I use a airsense auto set with the new F30 mask which works a lot better for me than the initial F20 mask they gave me. I think the initial pressure setting of 5-8 with EPR 2 may not be strong enough to really fix all my apneas but I am concerned that I may not tolerate higher pressure or my mask will leak a lot more. I don’t feel confortable making pressure changes myself.

Any tips to bring up to the doctor? Should I show him the sleepy head detail data I collected?

Thanks
