cpap titration before or after night guard

In your experience did you get a night guard (for bruxism) before or after cpap titration. Patient currently has both but doesn't wear the night guard (years) due to the dry mouth. He's getting a new prescription for cpap soon and I was wondering what order I should recommend a new night guard. Thanks

I am not a doctor; just a CPAP and night guard user. I would be surprised if it made any difference, really. But if you wanted to be on the safe side, maybe have him get the night guard first? I think I had a CPAP before I got a night guard, but I wish I had gotten a night guard much sooner. The night guard did not make a difference in my sleep, but not having one sure wore down my teeth. I also don't wake up with sores on the inside of my mouth from chewing on my cheeks in my sleep anymore.
