Thoughts about CPAP pillows?
Thoughts about CPAP pillows?
I currently use a MyPillow because it's washable, but I have found that at time sleeping on my side is a bit problematic because it will slightly shift my Brevida mask causing a slight leak.
I was thinking of getting a CPAP pillow, similar to the Contour Products, CPAPMax 2.0 Pillow (not sure if links are allowed to Amazon, so I will refrain).
Are these helpful or just gimmicks? Wish I could try one before committing, but I don't think anyone will allow a return for a pillow, LOL

Following as I have wondered the same.....
I do use a BuckWheat Filled Pillow that was once offered here to "test" from the maker a few years ago, it seems to work well for me

Re: Thoughts about CPAP pillows?
I have tried 3 different pillows with my cpap therapy. Though the buckwheat pillow seems to be a popular pillow here, It feels like a rock to me. I felt like Fred Flintstone when I used it. I have bought two contour pillows (my daughtered snatched my 1st one). I like the contour... obviously....since I bought two of them.

I am Going to have to give that one a try Sherrif! The buckwheat one I have is firm, I removed some of the insides and it helped just a little.

Re: Thoughts about CPAP pillows?
Looks great for a side sleeper like myself, seems the Contour is popular - does it stay cooler or tend to be warmer? If that makes any senseBookit wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 5:02 amI use this one:

Re: Thoughts about CPAP pillows?
For those of you using pillows with contours or cut-outs, what do you do for pillow cases?
Re: Thoughts about CPAP pillows?
Additionally, for those with cpap pillows, what do you do about washing? I've grown accustomed to being able to wash my pillow biweekly, but you can't really do that with foam pillows.

Re: Thoughts about CPAP pillows?
We use regular pillow cases on ours. We launder the cover that came on the pillow about once a month, and the regular pillow case once a week this time of year, and more often during the summer.

Re: Thoughts about CPAP pillows?
I currently use a MyPillow with the Brevida nasal pillow as well. All I do when I turn on my side is move my head a little closer to the edge where the Brevida frame hangs over the taper of the pillow a bit,......No problem!
If it doesn't work for you, you might think of going with the P10, as it takes more to make it leak when on your side.

Re: Thoughts about CPAP pillows?
The EnduriMed pillow I use came with its own protective cover and I think any standard pillow case should be fine to use on it but I just use it with the protective cover.

Re: Thoughts about CPAP pillows?
I love my buckwheat filled pillow - I have it perfectly adjusted with just the right amount of hulls. I wish there was smaller travel sized one.

I use a cooling pillow. I like this one. I use a regular pillow case over it.
