Air mini help

Post by heyslick » Mon Jul 22, 2019 1:16 pm

Well i decided try the Air Mini, here is my question. Is there any thing i can do for the really dry mouth? And it giving me a headache, or will i have to send it back? I taped my mouth shut , it seems to make it worse, i also use the things you put in your mouth.

Are you using the HumidX?
Machine: Aircurve 10 Vauto (Prior S9 VPAP)

Yes.
I guess the only other thing that you could possibly try is the humidX+ tablet. Its a stronger version. Resmed makes two versions.
If that also doesn't help, then you might need another machine with water based humidity. Or a stand alone humidifier, like the F&P HC150

Additional Comments: Uses a Dreamwear hybrid full face mask for travel as it packs a lot flatter than the F20. But it's a little noisier.

You might get used to it as well. I have an AirSense10 and an AirMini. I travel a fair amount and use the AirMini only when traveling. Initially, I had a ton of issues with dry mouth. Since I use a full face mask, can't use HumidX. I tried some of the suggestions on the board and made a hose so I could attach HME. Ultimately I went back to using it with the original hoses and without any humidification. While I don't think I sleep as soundly and I certainly seem to wake a bit more, I'm now used to it, but like many CPAP things, it just took time to adjust.
