Where to buy a new cpap for cheap?

Post by CyclonePap » Thu Oct 24, 2019 7:01 pm

Is there somewhere I could buy a new Philip's Respironics remstar pro c flex plus for cheap? My insurance wont pay for it. I dont have a prescription anymore (it's been 5 years since my last test) and my current one is having issues keeping pressure. I've sent it in to be fixed twice and it keeps having the same issues.

Also, I've lost my card so I have no data. Is there a way to get a new data card?

If I get a new cpap without a prescription, is there a way I could set it to the pressure I was previously prescribed?

Thanks for any help in advance.

You'll have to look online for your specific model, you can probably find a deal on a used one.

Data cards are typically just SD cards, they can be purchased almost anywhere in various sizes.

Just about every machine that collects data has the ability for the settings to be manually changed by the user, it's just a matter of finding the manual for it and figuring out the steps needed to put it in clinical mode.

I think you need a prescription (ANY doctor can write one) but the American Sleep Apnea Association has a program where you can get a machine, plus hose, filters and up to 4 masks for $100. https://www.sleepapnea.org/community/cp ... e-program/

It won't be brand new, but should be in good condition.

Why do you want the same machine?

That machine is a couple generations old, you'll have trouble getting a new or low hours version, and any older system will have a lot of hours on it. Exposing yourself to the same issues again.

If one doesn't come with the machines above, they're cheap at Walmart, CVS, Walgreen, etc.

Amazon SD card - https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-Cl ... r=1-3&th=1

I'm a CPAP.com fan, owners of this forum. I've bought all of my machines from them, always the best price, fast ship . . .

You'e old prescription is still good—Cpap.com will just ask you to upload it, a a script is a federal rule to buy cpap machines. CPAP prescriptions never expire.

Best,
