Hose for Resmed 10

Post by terry123 » Sat Mar 14, 2020 12:03 pm

Can you use a regular hose in place of the heated one. It seems to dry out my throat at times. If you replace it with an Unheated hose, should it be a slimline hose?

You can use any regular non heated hose with the AirSense 10 machines or you can use a non heated slimline hose if you wish.
The slimline hoses are a bit lighter and more flexible if that is an advantage to you or not.
Just make sure that you have the correct diameter selected in the hose menu....regular vs the slimline diameter for whichever you want to use.

You can also use the heated hose as a standard hose by turning off the heat. The non-heated hose is lighter and more flexible though.

Terry123,

Is the heat drying things out, or do you need to turn up the humidity?

The heat is making my throat dry during the night. Also on my humidifier container, there is a small spot that looks like it has been burned.

How do you turn off the heat on the hose and also the humidifier?

You can set both the humidity and hose air temp to manual and then just turn them off.
They are independent of each other in terms of settings.
Several combinations of options are available when we make "manual" settings available.
