Hi everyone, new Resmed 10 user here with an AHI score of 79, 33 years old.
I’ve been using the CPAP for the last couple days and since then have been seeing great improvements on my AHI based on the myAir reports (AHI of 1-5, see attached), but I wanted to get some opinions to see if I might be misinterpreting the myAir nightly reports as they seem almost to good to be true given my AHI.
Plus, I’ve been feeling some pressure/discomfort where my heart is (perhaps from my lung on the left side?) since I started using the CPAP. I will run this by my doctor, but would appreciate any feedback if you had any similar experiences.
Thanks!
John

Re: MyAir Results
Your results look good well done but if you want to know whats going on on a breath by breath basis download OSCAR and pop a SD card in your machine

Re: MyAir Results
Your MyAir results show you are doing very well especially for a newbie. Congrats!
Are you using the machine all night every night? How do you judge your sleep quality? Are you feeling better during the day?

Pressure/discomfort is a fairly common newbie complaint in this forum. My general and personal impression is that all cases turn out to be nothing more than normal adjustment to CPAP. If you previously had no heart or lung issues, the discomfort will likely go away in a short time. But, by all means, ask your doctor.dddipset@gmail.com wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 2:49 pmPlus, I’ve been feeling some pressure/discomfort where my heart is (perhaps from my lung on the left side?) since I started using the CPAP. Re: MyAir Results
A sore chest is likely just your muscles getting used to the 'activity' - very common.

Re: MyAir Results
Thanks for the feedback!
My chest pain seem to be going away, and I have gotten used to sleeping with the machine - was feeling a little claustrophobic the first couple days, not putting it back on after a bathroom break.
I also recorded my breathing over night with a voice recorder app on my iphone just to verify that my above mentioned “awesome” myAir AHI results were accurate, and I was excited to see that they actually seemed to be, with no apnea and even snoring compared to my 79 AHI days.
Don’t really feel much different yet in terms of tiredness during the day, but I’m hopeful I’ll feel that difference too once I’ve fully adapted to the machine.
So far so good!
